You’ll need to call to make it happen and it will likely be a few weeks before you receive the new card. You should be able to PC to at least Cash Rewards and Travel Rewards, if not Premium Rewards as well. If you are told it cannot be done, hang up and call again. Not all BoA CSRs know how to do it.

My old MBNA card became a BankAmericard a while back, and I changed it Travel Rewards. I have since closed a newer BankAmericard and Cash Rewards and combined those limits into the older card.

CSRs may or may not be able to combine the limits and close. I have been transferred to a senior analyst every time as the CSR was unable to do it, but that is presumably due to the massive credit lines that have been involved.

Thanks for the tip! I actually did have to do the HUCA method. The first representative I talked to said it wasnt possible to go from a non rewards card to a rewards card blabber. I just HUCA and got an associate who was more than willing to do my request. She said my card would be here in 2-4 weeks like you said as well.

As soon as I receive the card, I will move my other cash rewards limit over to this card then close that card. I didnt want to do any more request because the last time I did that a CSR ended up closing the wrong account! lol

Slowly but surely I am eliminating my credit cards haha. I will be down to 16 after I close this cash rewards one in a couple of weeks. My goal is to get to 10!

It is my oldest card and I really don’t have any use for it since it doesn’t provide any rewards. I did use it for Balance transfers in the past but I stopped getting them recently. I’m curious if i could possibly PC that to the Cash Rewards even if I already have one?

My plan is to PC that to Cash Rewards, move my other cash rewards card limit over (and close the card) to the newly Pced one. This would then leave me with only 2 BOA cards: Cash Rewards (newly Pced one) and BBR that provide decent rewards. Hope this makes sense!
