To all you AMEX card carrying fans and loyalist alike I have a question. How many CC's will AMEX allow under your account? I'm guessing 4? Anyone else have more? Just out of curiousity...

Recent threads on here would suggest a semi-hard limit of 5 revolvers:

Thank you for your reply. So the gist I'm getting is 5 revolvers would this include the Platinum and Gold NPSL's categorized as "charge cards" vs. CC?

I'm not 100% positive, but my impression from reading different sources is that the soft limit of 5 revolvers does not include charge cards. Don't hold me to that though.

So that seems to be a YMMV situation. I currently hold 6 revolvers and one charge. Charge is seperate from revolvers. I was also not a Hilton conversion from Citi either, i got all my cards in the last 11 months. i did app 3/4 and 5/6 same day, so i wonder if that had something to do with it too. For awhile now, Amex reps have been saying that there is no limit on revolvers, however there are posts on FT and Reddit that ppl had to cancel one to get the SPG luxury card in recent months. Thanks to @K-in-Boston for that info. Wish i had a clear answer for you, but from what i can say for me 6 is the max.
