New Sams Club Card

Got a new sams club card in mail yesterday, looks ok. They went away with the smooth look and went to embossed names and numbers. I saw the pic on my account a few months back, called them then and CSR has no clue, account number stayed the same, no HP or anything like that. I originally had the MC also, so im not sure why I received this.

I received a replacement card as well and I was glad to get it. I had continuous issues getting the card to read at the pump because it was too thin or whatever. No issues with the replacement card... put it in... pull it out ...and it reads the first time not the tenth.

OP, this is simply a plastic redesign refresh which aligned to recent upgraded WMC cards for targeted cardholders.

Yep, I got the new embossed card as well.

I don't really care either way (the old card worked just fine for me) but I'm slightly annoyed that my member number on the back of the new card is printed exactly over where the card number is embossed, and is mostly illegible.

If someone at the store needs the number (as they do at times at member services) their bar code scanner had better be working.

hahaha I just checked mine also, same thing, although I almost didnt see it as its black over the dark blue card. Really smart!!

Wow, they're really slow in some areas. I've had mine for two months. The $100 cash back option is the best thing about the card.

Our Sam's has got some really good looking and rather large pumpkin pies right now. Sometimes things that look delicious end up not being fresh.

The new card can be swiped or scanned to verify membership and make purchases with one card.

So could the old card... my gripe is that the number on the back of the new one is nearly impossible to read with the human eye.

There are times when that number is necessary, and one shouldn't have to figure out alternative ways to get to it. It is a poor card design.
