Has anyone been able to get the AMEX Rose Gold Card Bonus 25,000 changed to 50,000?

I recently applied and was approved for the AMEX Rose Gold card with the 25,000 bonus points and realized there was a referral link online for the 50,000 bonus points. I tried to get the 50,000 bonus points applied to my card through chat and they would not honor the 50,000. Has anyone been succesful in getting their bonus amount changed?

I don't think you can do that.

In general AMEX is averse to this. From the posts I have seen it seems like with AMEX what you signed up for is what you get.

With the wide variety of bonuses that Amex offers they typically do not match welcome offers.

There has been limited success. You may have better luck calling them.

The few successful efforts I've heard about have been instances where a customer received a targeted offer (email or snail mail) within days (maybe weeks) of applying.

I've never heard of them matching a public offer someone found by just browsing around online.

When I Gold apped last year I found a 50k deal while using incognito. It was 50k for $1k spend. I havn't seen it since.

I did see it last year when I had the green card, however I waited for an upgrade offer since I didnt want to keep the green card (I originally just got it for the offer). Luckily AMEX sent a upgrade offer from Green to Gold of 40K for $3,000 in 3 months that I jumped on.

I have heard of people getting it in incognito mode as well (as someone else pointed out) so I would try that.

I tried, no go, they DO NOT match public offers and also, rarely the targeted via snail mail or email ones either.

Make sure you remember to clear your cookies before going into icognito mode and check a couple of times a week. If you dont clear your cookies, sometimes the website data from your last login is still there and the AMEX website still knows it's you.

When I applied for my Amex Gold last year (then it was the PRG) the public offer was for 25K MR points. About 2 weeks after receiving the card I noticed that the public offer had been temporarily increased to 50K MR points. So I did some research and everything said that Amex doesn't match SUB offers; Doctor of Credit website even said they don't match and to be prepared to to make your case and possibly escalate to a supervisor.

Anyway I called Amex and asked if they could match the new 50K offer and the CSR immediately agreed. He specifically mentioned the fact that I had been a member since 1995 as the reason for upgrading the SUB. I did not get a written notice of the upgrade so I hopped on chat and asked if the SUB was really upgraded and I was told yes, it was coded in their system for 50K. I got the 50K SUB 2 or 3 days after completing the required spend.

A few months later when I opened the Amex EveryDay card and tried to get an upgrade from 15K to 25K MR points I was turned down. The CSR told me it was because I had already completed the required spend, so they could not change what was in their system.
