PenFed Cash Rewards: $5,000 CL

Chase Freedom: $5,000 CL (been so long that I do not remember which Freedom CC! )

Done now. Save me a chair in the Sleigh Center.

But, the Discover CC looks good..................no, fight the urge!

I'm with you on that Discover card. Now that one of my scores is well into the 700's and my other two are about to make something like a 100 point leap I'm so tempted to app discover. Does anyone know how they feel about there being lots of recent inquiries on the CR?

Did you ask Penfed for 5K? If you did you can use the same pull for 90 days. Bet you could get more.

No, I shot for $10,000. They counter-offered for $5,000.

I accepted, and I planned in around 60 to 90 days to ask for a bump in CL. I am not sure how they are, though.

How long should I wait to ask for a CLI with them?

I'm so glad that your week is improving. Congratulations on the new cards. Do "fight the urge" on the Discover card. Let your cards age a little bit. Right now, I'm trying to "fight the urge" on a particular card that I "want," but don't "need." My "pre-approved" offer for this card expires on 10/31. I really should have put the offer through the paper shredder, but I haven't.

I have heard that Discover doesnt look too kindly on a lot of recent inquires. I can tell you from personnal experience that when i applied and was approved for my Discover More card that when they pulled EX i had only 2 recent inquiries (July/Aug 2007) and a decent score in the 700s. .
