Are they a hard pull or soft pull? And who do they pull? The pulled eq when I apped, but provide me with a free tu.

Discover is sp, normally they dont pull a report to give sp though TU is what they usually use for reference. I do know Discover likes to pull....my leg lol

Like mentioned above it is a soft pull.

On my Discover IT - Ive always requested through the Discover app. Occasionally when I log in, Ill see "Request Limit Increase" right below "Available Credit" on the home screen.

Can also hit Account in the app and then Credit Line Increase.

Though im a bad egg, id smash the button so many times i have quite the denial collection at home, reality is you can try when ever you like but maybe once a month after your score updates. This isnt by any means right or wrong as no one knows how they dish out cli but its a method. In my case no matter how often i try, they give me $500 every 90 dsys like clockwork.

That's good info. Since they gave us a cli when they graduated us, I should maybe wait for 90 days. Or try to pc it into their 5% version. Idk enough about cards to attempt that though. 😂 plus I should probably wait until after I hit the one year mark for that.

After they graduate you and you a CLI at that time, can you then at the same time request another one online?

I always though you had had to wait 90 days, or at least 61?

No, Discover isnt Amex with set rules for cli. You can try now ,worse that happens is you get a letter about not enough experience which is just a not at this time letter.

Not enough experince is discovers catch all comment to satisfy credit reporting rules.. Its their No Soup for You just because... excuse...

Give you a hint on that..

You can try as much as you want.. but if you want to try monthly or even longer (Like the every 3 or 6 month tactic at this point)

Do it AFTER the date they SP your account for the in-account credit score.....

They use that pull in deciding your CLI...

It's a soft pull. I requested an increase last week. Requested again this week at 90 days after my last CLI and received the obligatory $300 increase. I followed up with a called into the 800# and was increased an additional $700. It seems this is fairly par for the course. I was told if I would like to be considered for more than the $700 that it would be a hard pull. YMMV.

It’s was a TU soft pull for me. My $2500 secured card graduated 10 months ago. I always got denied for CLI because of “ Not enough experience with Credit Limit”. Today I tried for CLI on the mobile app. They approved me for $300. I did not accept the $300 and I called CSR. The lady told me that is the only CLI the system would allow me to get. I asked to be transferred to a credit specialist. He gave me looked over my account and gave me a $1000 increase instead of the $300 increase

Odd they hard pulled me. I called angry as crap and they removed and gave me $3000 bump. From my understanding they will increase every 62 days?
