Missing Transaction

I purchased $292 from ebags on my Freedom Card with chase pay (5x for cat and +7 for chase mall) on Saturday and the charge was under pending since. This morning the transaction is missing as it’s not listed as sale or pending.

Is this an odd occurrence? Free money is good but not honest so I’ll call chase. The order is slated to arrive today so it wasn’t cancelled.

I wouldn't worry about it. It will reappear. If it doesn't within several days then I would worry about it.

It will show back up as a non-pending, completed transaction.

Don’t presume that your internet connection has a Kreskin view to the world. Have some patience while the IT systems update, and enjoy your purchase.

This frequently happens when a charge is about to post. It happened to me last night on Capital One. A few minutes later, the charge appeared as posted. With some banks (e.g. Barclays), I've seen charges disappear for several hours.

If the merchant has a problem posting the actual transaction later. The bank can just add the charge back in manually.

This happens often on my Barclays Uber.
