The VentureOne is the "keeper" card. You don't want to lose out on your 0% interest. And it's the one most likely to grow. That doesn't mean that this card has to remain a VentureOne forever if you'd rather have a Quicksilver. If a product change offer isn't available now, one would be likely to appear in the future.

As mentioned, we should know your account ages so we can determine if they're relevant to your decision.

So, I have three capital one credit cards, one is a secured card(Platinum CL $350 my oldest card) and the others are nonsecured cards(QuickSilver CL $600 and Venture ONe CL $1000)... I'm finding it difficult managing multiple cards at once. As a result, I want to merge them. I wish I could merge all of them however, this may not be possible, at least as much as I know. The Venture One card has a $0 APR until October and has rewards points for travel. The QuickSilver One has 1.5% cash back. If it is possible to merge these cards which one should I keep? The venture one or the QuickSilver? Another important information about Quicksilverlver is that it was upgraded. Any suggestion or idea will be highly appreciated.

How long have you had these cards? Also, on the question as to what to keep thus, the quicksilver or venture card, which of these two works for you best? You are the only one who can answer that based on your activities and needs. You can begin by answering why you got these in the first place and which one has been working for you best and then we go from there.

The platinum card I got 8yrs 6months as a secured credit card - I really wish I could either change this to unsecured or close it as it's giving me nothing but credit age - this is my oldest credit card. I've begged capital one to change it, they just would not do it for me...so unfair.

The Quicksilver one I got 1 year and 9months and was an upgrade from a platinum card - it works for me in that I get to get 1.5% cash back - that's about it, I don't get anything else.

The Venture One is only 3months old - I have the 0% APR until October of this year and I get travel rewards...I think at this point keeping the Venture will be my best since I won't be charged extra fees as long as I'm making my monthly payment on time until October. To be honest, I wish I could just merge them all and have only one card that would make it so much more manageable.

Thank you for your response.

It's unclear if you have Quicksilver or Quicksilver One, if it's the later, it's a no brainer to combine it into Venture One to avoid the $39 AF even if QS1 is the older card. Leave the secured one alone until it unsecures, or just close it if you crave simplicity, no big deal either way.

As much as I too am trying to simplify, if I only had three cards then I would probably keep all three but rotate them out of my wallet every few months.
If that is totally out of the question, then I would keep the Venture

If it's QS with no AF, I would merge V1 into QS just for the fact that it's 1.5 years older since either will be SD anyway, you also won't accumulate any meaningful points through V1 for travel, I would stick to cashback.

Are you on Discover's 1st year? If so, all your non Amazon and non 5% Discover category spending should go on Discover for its 2% cashback match, this is what I meant by both QS and V1 being in the sock drawer (you will probably end up with a permanent 2% card sooner or later) and why I think QS and its older age would be the logical choice.

As for Blaze, not sure what you're asking, Blaze is backed by First Savings Bank, you can't move limits from Blaze to QS.

As for Blaze, I thought you wanted to transfer credit limit from Blaze to QS. lol Yes, you can close Blaze or transfer balance to another card, how much do you owe and what's the APR? Cap One is not exactly known for low APR, have you checked Discover for BT offers?

I've decided I will close Blaze. the V1 has a 0% APR until October of this year and then it changes...that is why I wanted to merge the Quicksilver into it...but thinking about it now, maybe, in the long run, the QuickSilver will be more beneficial as I will be receiving 1.5%
