Kohls cancelled my card..

Kohls cancelled my card is there any way that I can get it back once I pay the balance in full? Has anyone has any luck with this. I have been making payments on time so far.. thanks

Did you make minimum payments only?

Do you have other credit cards and do they have balances on them?

Unfortunately, no.

Unless it's something that is canceled voluntarily (in some cases), some can be reinstated within 30 days, situations are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Was your card closed due to delinquency or other factors?

It was closed due to deliniquency on my end. I do as of now have a Captial one card that is in great standing. I don't know if that helps or not. I am right now trying to get into the process of repairing my credit. So after paying off Kohl's do I see if they would be willing to deduct it off of my credit reports or leave it there? I just got it last year so its not that old.

It appears there is some confusion here with these 2 statements.

An OC is not likely to remove anything from your CR that is currently delinquent and this new. They are only likely to grant such GW in the latter years of an item being reported.

You can try, but it's doubtful that they'll remove factual information from your CRs.
Essentially the delinquency is accurately reported. Capital One, in general, is not known for PFDs.

Yes, as long as it was simply closed and not charged off.

As long as you pay it in full, there won't be any derog for that. If you don't pay it, then it'll go into collections which will cause more damage. Was the delinquency a late payment? If so, the impact of a 30 day late is around 2 years, it will gradually decrease and then not impact after 2 years in most cases. If it's anything more then 30 days late, then it'll impact for the full 7 years. I would definitely pay in full so that closes the card completely and there's no collections. Depending on what your scores are, you can add some secured cards to help if you don't have enough cards (3 cards are usually best and a loan).

Credit card issuers are changing the landscape regarding their products (credit cards). Rewards and perks are being reigned in, reduced and even removed. More and more issuers are not only being skimpy on CLI's but some are even using behavior profiling to potentially reduce CLI's given already.

The Kohl's Card is issued by Capital One so treat your other Cap One card very carefully so you don't experience AA with that too.

Use it but PIF.
