I couldn't get a Barclay card with a 700 Transunion and similar amount of inquiries. Gonna be a while. Good luck rebuilding though.

I started messing up my credit in 2014 I was young and I didn’t really have the knowledge I have now about credit. My goal is to get the Apple Barclays Credit Card besides Discover it which I got pre-approved for the secured card which I’ll be getting soon. My score increase nearly 100 points since Novemeber2018 since I’ve been paying the one collection account I have and the student account loan as well.

From what I read Barclay pulls Transunion, what will be my likelyhood ?

My Transunion is 528
13 Inquiries
8 Closed accounts
1 collection

Student loan $568.00(deferred still making payments tho)

3 open (which is the collection)
Fingerhut $400(on time)
VictoriaSecret $250(just got this one)

I’ll be honest. It sounds unlikely at this point. Barclays can be weird at times. I don’t know that I would risk it. But yes, they do tend to pull TU.

This card is of interest to me and as a rebuilder I've been paying particular attention to low-score approvals. (I don't really care if I get a low SL because I have pretty low spend and I know the CL will grow as my scores improve.) The lowest score I've seen approved is 610.

Based on the data points I've seen I would hold off applying until:

1) You have a TU FICO 8 score of ~630,

2) You've gotten a PFD on the collection (preferred) or it is at least paid off (hopefully marked "PIF" or "paid" rather than "settled"),

3) You have at least six months of on-time payments on your open accounts (nine to twelve months if your report is littered with late payments like mine), and

4) Your youngest account and most recent inquiry are six months old.
