Which one first?

2018 was a very productive year for me credit wise. I added 10 new CC’s and 3 Loans. Prior to this I hadn’t added anything in 3.5+ years.

In using my new stack of credit cards I found that Discover IT with the cb match was my go to card for most of my spend. I was starting to get depressed thinking about losing that double cash back tomorrow as my account becomes 1yrs old.

So, I did the pre qual and Discover is offering me a second card with a lower APR and 14 mo 0% APR. I don't carry a balance so this doesn't carry much weight.

My question is: Should I go ahead and app for the 2nd Discover IT CB match now or wait until after I get a second Sync card either the Amazon Prime Store Card or the Sync Walmart card?

With Disco - once you hit a year, you can app for another card of theirs. Disco is a known EQ/EX puller while the Amazon Prime SC is a known TU puller. In your case, going for both is doable.

A few things to keep in mind though ;
- Discover only allows 2 cards at any given time, once you get your CB match, I would combine both cards and close the old one. Unless you are maxing out in each of the 5% categories.
- What's the reason for getting the Walmart SC? It only offers 3% CB on walmart.com purchases and grocery pickups. Besides that, any 2% CB card will have better value.
- The Amazon Prime SC is a better value card if you have purchases at Amazon. 5% is a no brainer. Keep in mind, it's a store card only.

So if you do not wanna open another card. Just call and speak to the friendly customer service agents, and ask them to lower you're APR. Discover is known to be very customer driven, and typically will do ANYTHING you ask them to do. After a year of use they gave me a FREE Year of NO APR! I am a discover conasour. I live, and breath the card. Congrats on the successful year of credit building! Discover is the best card ever as they match you're cashback after a year of ownership. I got $600 back on the first year.

I got my 1st Disco on 1/23/2018

I use both Amazon & walmart.com grocery pickup weekly except during grocery quarter for Disco. I would like to have the Walmart card before it switches to Cap1

From what I hear you have to wait for DISCO to cut you your cb bonus so its like one year+ 1 month before you can aplly for a 2nd card or they will deny you and you will waste a HP, I could be wrong but check it ot 1st.

Well, I have not heard that. But I can wait another month for a second Disco. I can get th AMZN SC first, then Disco end of Feb and worry about WMT just before they roll over to Cap1.
