Wells Fargo GoFar Rewards (Good) Promos Active

Just a heads-up that DoC is reporting that Wells Fargo has 'refreshed' the promos on their GoFar Rewards and there are some good ones this time around, notably 40x points for CVS and Bloomingdale's for some (limit 2500 points for CVS, 7500 for Bloomingdale's, and 4000 at P.F. Chang's).

I had the offer for CVS, P.F. Chang's, and Massage Envy. The CVS offer is a pleasant surprise, since I've already used that one a couple of times in the past few months (and it happens to be the one I wanted).

Some are seeing 15x points, which still isn't bad. I've had 40x and 15x on CVS before, but this time it's 40x again for me. YMMV on which offer(s) you get, but it's worth checking if you have a Wells Fargo credit card.

The CVS offer expires on February 15, 2019; I'm assuming the others do as well (you'll want to check).

"Gift card purchases have previously worked when doing this. CVS is obviously a no-brainer due to the wide variety of gift cards sold there. Max out the CVS deal with a $62.50 purchase.

Some of the others could make sense too for gift card reselling. And of course, you can just use these organically as well, 40% is an incredible deal."

When they say 40% Bonus Cash rewards, is that 40% straight up reward on purchases?

or is it 1% basic rewards enhanced to 1.4% Bonus Rewards? (or 2% --> 2.8% Bonus)

Thanks for the heads up Uncle B--I have the same offers also. I usually don't check these that often b/c a lot of them aren't that great--but I'm gonna be breaking out the old WF card for the CVS and Blooms deals definitely (and maybe PF Chang's also).

Yep, it's 40% straight-up rewards... that's why it's such a good deal.

For examle, to 'max out' the offer at CVS, if you spend $62.50, you'll get a bonus of 2500 points added to your GoFar rewards balance a few days later, which is equivalent to $25.00.

For what it's worth, that's in addition to the 'usual' points you receive, which for example if using a Propel for CVS is 1x (1%), but for P.F. Chang's would be 3x (3%).

(Edited to clarify that the 'usual' points you recieve will be based on the particular card you have.)

Yep, I was writing using my own Propel as an example, but you're exactly right that this isn't just for Propel users; other WF credit cards qualify as well.

Seems like Wells Fargo is good to have for credit and seems to be trying to encourage spend by deeply discounting select retailers. Do these offers apply to all their credit cards and if so, what is the best Wells Fargo GoFar Rewards deal you have seen?

both my visa signature and propel has this 40pts/$1 offer.

I had a Wells Fargo Platinum in the past, which was converted from Wachovia. Took 0% and paid in full. They never offered rewards with the account nor would they product change me to a rewards card, they only offered me a rewards program with an annual fee so they lost my business. They never offered me any promotions. Other issuers like TDBank offered a short term promotiom which I used, then stopped using the card and they closed out the account, again, not giving me any reason to continue using it. Wells Fargo came out with newer offerings but I was never targeted for aggressive promos all the while they got caught in their fake account opening scandal so I did not do any business with them.

They offer a promo of 50 now on a Wells Fargo Greenhouse account with meeting their qualifications and it may lead to other products with them but I have been hesitent to do so. PF Changs and CVS are not merchants I frequent but I will see if Wells Fargo makes changes that are favorable.
