Has anyone had any experience with Amex price matching for flights and/or hotels? Would they price match a price i found on priceline with their Amex Travel site price?

You will never get any company to price match flights. If your within 24 hours of booking for flights to/from USA you can just cancel it and rebook at the lower price.

For hotel. They do offer a price match but the 2 times I’ve tried to do it they refused to honor the lower price. So I just ended up cancelling the reservation as it was refundable and making travel arrangements elsewhere.

Amextrsvel will not price match any members only price. Even if that members only price is just an email list. They also do not match any hotels that are on sale or have various other discounts applied by Expedia etc.

I would also be careful about the 24 hour cancellation window. It only applies if a flight is more than 7 days before departure. A friend booked a flight that departed on Tuesday on Thursday night on Frontier, told her to cancel it Friday morning but Frontier didn't cancel the flight due to it being less than 7 days to departure. She ended up talking to a supervisor and got the flight canceled in the form of a credit. So that 24 hour window only works for flights 7 days outside of departure.
