BofA Cash Reward 10% relationship bonus

Hi everyone, I'm new here.
I called (on 1/4) to PC from the standard Bankamericard and my account was switched to cash reward today. I can choose the 3% category and read about all their features (including the preferred reward program) but couldn't find any mention of the 10% bonus for redemption to a BofA account. Where does everyone find the 10% bonus language in their accounts?

Update: Finally got to redeem some of the balance from last month. No bonus

Also, the Cash reward card I received is the not World Mastercard, may be it's the $1000 CL.

I decided to call them up and the CSR made it sound like my account is not eligible for the customer 10% bonus (she was pretty sure the benefit is still available for new CR accounts).
I saw a recent thread about Cap1 bucket but didn't think it would happen with Bofa too. I guess I'll test my account once the new card arrives.

When you click the down arrow on redemption options... the 10% bonus is listed.

The 10% bonus is still there, though they have definitely buried it in most marketing materials. They are really pushing the Preferred Rewards bonuses.

As others have said, you can find it through your online account if you squint and look really hard . You'll have to go to the redemption page and click on FAQs. I would hotlink it, but the link doesn't work unless you're in your account already. The bonus posts within a day of the charge posting.

Thanks to everyone who answered. Looks like my account is different from banquier's. I don't have the entire "recent changes to your reward program" section in FAQ.

I'll make some charges and report back the result when cash back shows up for redemption.

A stupid question but I can still use my old Bankamericard card and get the cash back right? Account number is the same.

As long as your online account shows the new card information, and the account number is the same, I think you will be fine. You'll have to make a charge to verify. Good luck!

When you make a purchase, if you’re getting a customer bonus, they add it automatically now (they used to add it at redemption).

It’ll list it out as:

Rewards Base (the 1% of spend on everything)
Category Bonus (if it’s a 2% or 3% category, this’ll be the extra 1-2%)
Relationship Bonus (here’s your extra 10% of the reward or more if you’re preferred).

So it’s all together now. It used to only be added at redemption so it wasn't there like that before.

So I got something from Amazon for $28.99 and this showed up in the app

I'll try to redeem it at the end of this statement period to see if the 10% show up. However, At this point I'm convinced that, at the very least, my account doesn't have the relationship bonus.

May be this perk is only carried over for old cardholders before the 3% category change. I'll change the title to "BofA Cash Reward 10% relationship bonus" to attract more data points from people recently applied or PCed to the card.

I don’t seem to have the relationship bonus if it is per transaction. I did PC my 5 year old Bankamericard to it so maybe that’s it.

I was told that my bankamericard from 2004 was not eligible for a product change due to the low interest rate on it? Is that normal?

No call back and get another CSR. One representative told me mine wasn’t eligible so I HUCA and got a CSR who was happy to do it.

I've got a 7.4% rate but never carry a balance and a 30K Credit limit on the card. Does it make sense to product change it or just sock drawer and apply for the new one with the $150 SUB?

Before. I PCed it back in October. I actually had a previous cash rewards card too which was closed when I PCed the Bankamericard (my oldest account). It is strange but not a huge deal breaker for me I don’t really use the card. I just wanted to have a card that I could get at least some rewards from.

Have you tried redeeming it? In the past, the 10% bonus was added when you actually redeemed the cash back. I’m not sure if it’s a minimum redemption requirement but it use to be 25.

I can't redeem yet (the cash back is still pending), I'll once it's available for redeem and find out for sure.

I think I misunderstood your previous comment. Did you mean you also don't see the 10% bonus listed for each purchase but still get it when you redeem? I hope this is the case with my account. Not getting it is not a huge deal. I want to keep the long term relationship with BofA and I also plan to put some money in Merrill Edge in the future.

There's no longer a $25 limit.

I just got a letter back on my "investigation". Turns out anybody who wasn't in the CR program when it was just 3% gas does not get the customer bonus. I'm rather annoyed by this because when I applied for my second CR it was the day after the change over; the app still said "10% customer bonus". It's still a great card though.

1. Called number on back of card to say that I wasn't getting the 10% customer bonus

2. Had investigation opened

3. Got letter
