Gamestop Credit Limit

I have a tiny bit of mostly useless data to offer to the myFICO crew today!

I've had my Gamestop credit card since they launched it. It even had a special "Day One Design" and everything. It has slowly grown with time.

Commenity handles Gamestop cards and I've been requesting credit line increases every other month or so, once I realized it would be a soft pull. Also, I was curious to see how high I could get it.

BUT! I finally hit a wall! Last week I initiated a CLI and got a denial.

Today, I got a letter in the mail and it said "You're currently at 3k and that's the highest CL we offer for Gamestop credit cards"

Guess I'm done growing this card!

Comenity/CCB has several CCs that have some sort of a cap maximum. IIRC, the Abercrombie & Fitch CC is one of those, for instance. Max is $3K from what other folks have reported.

Yes indeed, mine also hit a wall at 3k.

I can see why that they would put a hard limit though. $3k is alot at a video game store imo.

I kid, but have you been in the console scene as of late? Stuff is getting pricey but 3k is about right for a new console release day with a few games, an extra controller and not have to worry about your util % going over 28.9 for one cycle.
