Maybe it's an Amex issue, but I suspect the vendors are the problem. They are probably running authorizations and never finalizing the transaction.

I've noticed something a bit strange on my AMEX card accounts over the past week. First, an UberEats charge of about $50 from last Saturday just completely disappeared from my Gold card transaction history. It was pending for a while and then just disappeared. Then, another charge from an online merchant for about $250 made on Sunday using my BBP card also mysteriously disappeared after pending for a while. I know authorization holds generally fall off after a few days if they aren't finalized by the merchant but these are items/services I paid for and received. I suspect this may be a glitch on the AMEX side. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Yes, I’ve noticed the same thing on the Platinum card with Uber Eats. The pending charge dropped off after a few days and has not shown back up as a posted charge.

I've had a couple, usually with restaurants charges, but they have later showed up as a credit because of the perk with the card.
I've not noticed anything just disappear though sorry.
