Amex gold is a charge card. So there technically is no SL or CLIs. You must pay in full every month. It's basically a debit card with rewards. You will have a preset spending limit that will be based on your credit worthiness and history with Amex. But not really a credit limit.

If you want straight cash back, you can go for the Uber Visa. The WF Propel I have is a great card as well for a broad, high-earning CC, but alot of people do not like WF. Propel also has a min redemption of $25 and they seem a little slow with CLI, at least with me. Savor is a good one as well from Cap1. Another one that I am in the process of applying to is the US Bank Cash+, for 5% on 2 catagories that you can change each quarter, as well as a 2% catagory (lots of control!). US Bank is a conservative lender though, so it may be harder to get in.

Out of the three you mention, the Savor is probably the best. The other two are mostly geared for travel, though the CSP and CSR have a ton of benifits. It depends on if you can actually use those benifits.

American Express is known for being really good with credit limits. No hard pulls for increases, can ask for one after 60 days. At any given increase, can increase by up to 3 times. After the first CLI, no more for at least 6 months and the next one can be harder to get though. And the 6 months rules applies to all Amex cards you have, not just 6 months since the last increase on that particular card. I'd recommend the Blue Cash Preferred, what I have. I started with a $2000 limit, to which I was surprises because I would get $1500 or less with other places. I now have a $6000 limit.

US Bank Cash+ Visa Signature $5000 | Chase Freedom $1500 | JCPenney $1500 | Bank of America Cash Rewards $500 | Discover It Cash Back $3500 | American Express Blue Cash Preferred $6000 | Chase Freedom Unlimited $1500

"Best" is such a subjective thing. If you tend to cook at home a lot, a card that provides CB at grocery stores may be best. If you don't, that same card wouldn't be very useful at all. Same with many other cards depending on what you normally spend on, and what the card provides in return for that category of spending.

What do you normally spend the most on each month? That will help folks better suggest a "best" card for your spending.

Cash+ is the only card I can think of that has categories with a high enough return rate that most people can find ways to use the 5% categories.

Otherwise it’s all about where your spending goes.

If you want cash back rewards, and you don't travel much, then don't get cards from Amex or Chase. Their cards are designed for people that travel. As has been suggested above, look at the Uber card, the Propel card, or the Costco card for lots of reward categories on a single card, or just stick to a flat rate 2% cash back card like the Citi Double Cash.

I'm sorry. I didn't make this post clearer. I want to make my hard pull count. I have 4 cc's: QS 5,000 DeltaAmex Gold 1,000, DCCU 3,000 And Cit diamond 1200. My scores are in the high 600's across the board. I mainly spend my cards on going out to eat, Walmart, incidentals and the occasional splurge on electronics. I want my swipes to earn me some sort of reward. Since doing my research last night I've narrowed it down to AMex blue cash back, capital one savor and discover it( pre- approved for this one).
I feel like I would get the biggest sl with capital one and the smallest with Amex. I'm not sure about Discover it. I just got want to make sure my hard pull before 5/24 is worth it. I hope this rambling makes sense and clears up my question.
