Chase Credit Journey Shows Pre Qualified Offers All w/ Fixed APR

Hope everyone is doing well. It has been a while since I have sought the expertise of all you wonderful people here on My Fico. My time in the garden is coming to almost a year this April and will be 3/24 after March 20th. I logged into my Chase account to send out some payments and went on to check my Credit score on their free Credit Journey score tracker and found 3 pre qualified offers from Chase. All of which had a fixed APR. I had an offer for Chase Freedom and Freedom Unlimited which had 0% for 15 mos. then 22.99% which is shown directly on the page when I click on View your Offer. The CSP also shows up as an offer and did highlight 0 AF for the first year then $95 thereafter, but the APR is not listed on the main page unless I click on pricing and terms, the APR is 22.74%. I went back to my Chase main dashboard and checked actual offers from within the account but there are no offers showing on that page. In 2016 I did opt out from receiving offers, which is why I hardly ever get prequalified for anything unless targeted. So, I wanted to ask, if anyone has ever gotten some approvals through the Chase Credit Journey app? I do intend to apply for one of their CC either in April or May. Just wanted to check in and seek the advice of our true experts here.

Additional DP's: AoOA: 2 yrs and 6 mos.

AAoA: 1 year and 10 mos.

Both my younger sisters last year in March used Chase Credit Journey to double app the Freedom/FU back when they had the $300 SUBs on them and got approvals for both.

Cool beans Clark. Me no likey Chase but glad to see you are on the way to achieving your goals. I kinda regert , closing my Amy too early but when i stop and think of it, with my income $1500 most likely would have been my CSR anyway. Enjoy your offers buddy.....

Following since I will be 3/24 or 4/24 and I use Chase Journey with my checking account. Very interesting to see preapproved offers on the Journey page and not your actual offer page.

Thanks AJC! I am restraining to not apply until May or maybe wait for Shark Week? cause that might be my lucky week. Haha! I am worried however since I have a tax bill for my small business that I will put through my CC and that might scare them off when they see a large balance, so I am in debate on wether I should wait to pay off the CC balance before I apply. Hopefully I'd get lucky and either get an approval for the Freedom Unlimited when I do decide to go for it.

That's why I am weary of filling the app through the Credit Journey page, did not want to assume. I am not sure, if me opting out from offers had anything to do with me not getting the green check marks on my checking account page.

Yeah, not alot of data out there. Sorta like apping cuz Credit Karma recommends😏 Definetely weigh the pros and cons first

Absolutely right AJC! I tried looking for an answer on several topics but it seems to be a hit or miss. Good news howver with Disco. I called them, since I was going to use them to pay my taxes off this year, and they extended me 0% APR for 12 mos. So I am happy about that. Not so much on the CL not getting any increases, but at least it's something. I'll update this thread If I do end up applying next month for a Chase card. Thanks to AJC and everyone for your inputs.

Noice on the Disco. Got that recently myself but man im going to have to go 0/48 to get my new Disco apr lowered to something that even Credit One would give me.

For starter I really really hate sharks! Maybe because I’m terrified of them? Now on to the topic...

Anyways, I got my DW her CSP last year Aug (I think I made a thread about it). She DID NOT have any green check mark offers on her page and was exactly 5/24 at that time. Only acct with Chase was Checking and Savings back then. Heck she even had an unsettled CO and Collection with Chase for about $2K although no longer reporting by then (2009?). She had pre qual’d offers on her CCJ though with a set APR. Rolled the dice right there and then with a pre-filled app and... Voilà!! Instantly approved for $18.3K! HP on EX and TU. Low-Mid 700s F8 couldn’t remember her CARS. Util low teens and around 6 yrs AAoA. 5-6 HPs.

Thank you for sharing some DP's JR_TX. And for enlightening us on your hatred for sharks. 😊 I'm currently 5/24, but after 3/9 I'll be 4/24 then 3/24 after 3/20. I'll definitely ready on the link you provided and update when I finally decide to go for it.
