J.P. Morgan Reserve card

Hello everyone I have a question.
I am a CPC client and I recently went to the bank to speak to my private banker about a JPMorgan reserve card and he said it doesn’t exist anymore.
I know they discontinued the palladium card but I also know they replaced it with a JPMorgan reserve one, does anybody have any experience they can share?

I believe it requires JPM Private Bank ($10M) or at the very least JPM Private Client Direct ($1M?).

I'm sort of fake/honorary with the latter...special customer service sometimes, but no assets at Chase/JPM anymore. I've never tried to apply for it.

I don’t think that’s correct, I know a lot of people who had a lot less than a $1 million and got an invitation, I would love to know if any one here who’s a CPC client knows about a phone number or anywhere else through the CPC services where I can apply?

Are they attorneys with major law firms?

For a while, JPM had a deal with some major law firms where employees would get Private Bank perks, regardless of their assets.

No, they are simple people..
Some aren’t even business owners at all, I am a business owner but that doesn’t give me any advantages on any other person.

Are you sure they were actually invited to apply for JPMR, and didn't already have Palladium cards when those cards converted to JPMR?

I have no idea otherwise...reason would suggest that if CPC was all it took, word would have spread and JPMR would be a lot more widespread.

The best source of information would be your private banker. That’s the reason you have one.

If you feel like you aren’t getting accurate information from them. Ask for a supervisor.

Chase has semi- recently changed the tiers for various levels of CPC and sapphire banking. Things that were possible in the past, have changed now and it may be that the card is no longer open to applications.

Flyertalk would hold better information then this board for this particular topic, but as I mentioned your private banker is your best source of information.

2. I'm sure your private banker was wrong. If I had to guess, I'd say the vast majority of Chase employees doesn't even know this card exists.

That’s what I think, he knew about the palladium but not about this one.
I sent him a link from chase’s Website that shows the rewards and benefits of the card so I’ll have to wait and see if he can get me an invitation by next week, I don’t think it should be an issue for him.

I’m pretty positive the “$10 million “ requirement is just BS, I think as long as you have a relationship with CPC you can get an application if you know about this card.

The JP Morgan Reserve Card is available to JP Morgan Private Banking clients.

Exceptions are Palladium Card holderswho are grandfathered into the Reserve Card, Private Client Direct clients which are mainly former private banking clients who were booted and JP Morgan Securities Clients. There were invitations sent out to customers that I thought had $1 million in assets.

I would have your Private Client Banker do some research and get back to you.

just a quick update, looks like they are very strict and making this card only available for CPB NOT CPC.

anyone have was able to apply for it through CPC?

i know it's a long shot but i'm asking out of curiosity...

I'm CPC and there's actually a "backdoor" method, however, not something that can be publicly shared. And, as @wasCB14 mentioned upthread, based on product/client alignment, there was a reason for the restriction on the JPM Reserve.

United Club membership (or access, maybe?)...at least at one point.

I avoid them unless I'm going through SFO, and there I can use the Cent Lounge...hence why I never really looked into the card.

I think most of the interest in the card is for impressing dates.
