Capital One Venture One CLI Request...HP or SP?

I"m looking to request a credit line increase from Cap1 for my Venture1 card. Current limit is $7k and when I requested an increase on 12/11 U was denied because "Capital One is evaluating account activity at assigned credit limits." I opened the card in late August 2018. A couple questions:

-When I request the increase will it be a HP or SP. I believe last time it was a SP as I don't remember seeing a HP on my report.

-Is the timing right to try again?

99% of the time when you hit the button its a SP if not they will ask you before they process your request.

also you can request when ever you want with no hard inquires but they usaully only give you one every 6months

How long has it been since your last increase (if any) and how much spend have you been putting on Cap1 card relative to CL?

It's usually a SP.

Capital One must have loved you! I am not a fan of this credit card company. They are great for people trying to build but other than that I would not jump on this stuff. Line Increases constantly get denied even being one of the highest credit card companies in the USA.

It's usually a SP.

Just the decline on the increase request in Devember. Spend on the card has been inconsistent. Usually only use it for a few small things a month plus any hotel stays (because of the hotels.com 10x points offer). In January for instance put about $4k on it, and just put $2k on it yesterday. Besides that, no more than $500 a month. But, it's only been open since the end of last August.

I think your best chance of squeezing anything from Cap1 is once you have at least three consecutive months with higher spend and a recent AR.

I used to be able to see them on EX (in SPs) when I had their card.

There are many instances of strong applicants getting $20k or $30k CLs on Venture and Savor in the Approvals forum. A lot of their business is from lower-risk customers.

I'm a bonus chaser and I hope to never have to deal with their customer service. That said, a better description might be that customers shouldn't expect Capital One (which likes to securitize CC debt) to improve the terms of existing accounts.
