Chase freedom cards in visa signature

My starting limit on freedom cards are $3,400. If these limit increase to $5,000, will chase send new card?

It depends OP. A variety of "tier" levels aren't always dependent on the actual CL, especially with different Chase products.

Potentially, once you reach that CL threshold, you will either receive correspondence that your account was upgraded to VS, or receive a new card in the mail or you can also contact them to see if your account qualifies for the VS tier.

2 years ago, I reallocated some credit lines and requested a VS version of my Freedom over the phone. Chase does require a $5,000 credit line for VS on Freedom cards. My advise would be to do each step in different calls. I did it all in one, and about 30 minutes after getting off of the phone (I also added an AU in addition to requesting the VS and credit line reallocation) realized they changed my Freedom to a Freedom Unlimited VS! Took another call and a supervisor to get it undone, and a few days later I received FIVE new cards in the mail (Freedom AU, Freedom VS + AU, and Freedom Unlimited + AU) all with the same card information. 😂

I hope this means Chase is changing the design on the cards and removing the CC numbers from the front. It's tacky and the design in that link looks much better.

New replacements with the refreshed design and contactless feature still have the numbers embossed on the front. Lots of cards still in circulation with the raised account number/embossing *shrug*

I want to ask a piggyback question regarding the Freedom.....

Doesn't Freedom come as either a Visa or MC version? When you app through the online portal, which version do you receive? I am applying in April but I specifically want the Visa version.

And also, does anyone know if there is a PreQ link ? I can't seem to find one.

I think most people get VISA. ANd if you qualify for 5k you will get visa signature.

You can check to see if you are pre qualified on chase. And if you see green check mark "selected for you" than you are good to go.

There is no mastercard version.

I followed the link you shared (thank you for that!) but I see that the Freedom is not shown there. Only the Freedom-Unlimited. Please don't tell me they have stopped accepting apps for the rotater? Hopefully those are simply random example cards shown?

What do you mean by not showing? Do you mean you did pre-approval and Freedom Unlimited showed but not Freedom?

I believe I saw something that Chase isn’t doing prequal for Freedom anymore but if you prequal for Freedom Unlimited they have the same UW criteria.

Under the "Terms and Agreement" in the application section it mentions that if your CL is $5K and over you will be issued a Visa Signature Card.

+1. If someone is prequalified for Sapphire Reserve or Freedom, it will still show regardless of the graphic on the splash screen.

Thank you, that's basically what I was asking. I didn't want to punch in the info at that time, because I usually do PreQ the same day I actually apply, but I have since been told that it doesn't matter when you do the PreQ, it could be a month in advance.

But since I didn't see the images on the "splash screen" (that's the terminology I was looking for) it was confusing.
