I think Chase is stalking me à la facebook style. This morning I added the CF as a goal card (though I'd snag a CSP if offered). Only card in the "Just for you" section WAS a slate... This evening? They plopped a CSP offer replacing the slate.... Chase why, I'm trying to build a little, I JUST got 4 cards... I'm trying to wait six months... Hnnn I also want a metal card... It's also a flat APR offer! Not a range. Talk me out of it... I need to garden a little...

I’m going to be the devil here. I say go for it. Getting your dream card might be good motivation to stay in the garden and grow it. Good luck!!!

You could be approved but would you rather have 1) a smaller chance of being approved and 2) a lower SL OR would you rather be approved a year later with a much higher SL?

Do what's best for you. Like someone mentioned before, if that's your goal and you think that you can get it, go for it. At least that's my personal opinion, haha!

Nothing says I wont lick it just to make sure it isn't actually sweet... Supposedly new Canadian money smells like maple, so why can't a metal CC taste like pixy sticks? Or better yet, a peach cobbler? I am indeed tempted by the heft of a metal card... It'd be so pretty to plunk down for purchases.

I'll set it as a goal then for myself. If I can get my scores back to 740-750ish by my birthday, and Chase drops me a pre-approval, Imma snag it and garden it. Be it the CF or CSP, if I have to cold app, I'll go for the CF. Especially if Synchrony lives up to their cli fame.

Hey, one can always look to enjoy the future. I'm definitely not trying for one until one of my cards grows over 5k SL. I know card companies like seeing others take the plunge first. Looking at my Discover and PPCBMC to be my first $5k+ cards.

The only place where people will tell you not to app for a card that you want is in the garden. Outside of the garden it’s anything goes.
