My point was that it would be nice to know why you weren't eligible, not just some vague reason. Also, websites aren't immune to glitches, so the appearance or absence of a pop up isn't always concrete. As there have been a few threads on that very topic similar to UncleB's comment.

I've had a Chase Marriott Rewards Visa Card since 2003, and I finally upgraded to the Premier Plus at the beginning of the year which netted 75k points after using it for three months. It's now my everyday card, and I love the fact that I get 2 points for every dollar and 6 for Marriot dollars spent.

I've never had an American Express card and am looking at the 100k bonus offer for the Amex Bonvoy card. The offer expires on 4/24 which would put me well outside of three months if I decided to get it just before the offer expires. I have a Marriott week long resort stay in May, so that would help me push toward the 100k bonus, but I read somewhere that Marriott will not honor the rewards if two bonuses are achieved within 24 months of each other.

My question is, can any of you card experts confirm that? Should I call Amex, Marriott or both? If I won't qualify for another bonus within 24 months, then I'll just keep using my Chase Bonvoy card and wait and see what happens. But, also, I'd love to get another award as my wife and I are saving points for Hawaii.

There are rules to having both, and there are call outs to getting the SUBS...I suggest you look at Amex Bonvoy rules....by looking at card details offer. You may not qualify for the 100K...

Looks like the 24 month statement is where they'll get me. The good news is we're not due to go to Hawaii until I retire in 5 years, so I'll just wait the offer out and hope they offer it again for Amex. Thanks for your research.
