Check and see if you’re eligible for NFCU and if so, try to grab any one of their cards except the Flagship (tougher UW due to minimum $5K SL) along with either Disco or Amex would be my suggestion.

NFCU cards can grow to $50K but you can PC it to a Flagship later and that card goes up to $80K if you don’t mind the small annual fee.

Amex cards are very well known for massive growth. Discover is not shy about growing if you use it a lot but can be a bit more finicky than Amex or NFCU.

3 cards is good enough for maximum scoring but more now can help you keep your average age of accounts low in the future when you eventually get new accounts for whatever reason.

I think the AMEX blue cash everyday card is a good card for your position because you can grow the credit limit relativly easily with their 3X CLI and the card isn't that hard to get with new credit.. Or maybe their cash magnet card. I don't think the cash magnet is as good but that may work itself out in lower interest and be even easier to get..

I hear NFCU credit union cards gives massive starting limits often and are easy to grow.

Get something American Express. I have the Blue Cash Preferred. One thing Amex is known for is being really good with credit limits. I went from a $2000 limit to $6000 limit after just over 2 months, reporting at the time only $17000 annual salary. Maybe get a Chase card too, like the Freedom Unlimited, which is unlimited 1.5% cash back. Note though, you can request a soft pull CLI from Amex, but hard pull cli from Chase. But sometimes Chase will offer a soft pull CLI for people who runs a lot through their card. For Amex, you must wait 60 days for the first CLI, and 6 months after each increase after that. But each subsequent increase is harder to get than the previous one. And if you are denied a CLI, you must wait at least 90 days for the next CLI request.

Amex BCE or Discover It. Both are awesome cashback cards with huge growth potential. FWIW, Disco would probably give you a higher SL

AMEX and Discover are both great suggestions. However, if I were to grab both at this point, I'd want a card #4 in the future that's either a Visa or MasterCard product.

Discover is a great card when heading into a gardening period. If it's on your radar, grab another card first. When you've met that card's sign-up bonus, go for Discover.

I, like others, would recommend the AMEX Blue Cash and Discover IT cards. Both of those have given me higher limits/ faster CLI than any of my other cards and I pretty much have them all (no bragging intended- just mentioning this for brand comparison reasons).

I am a little confused as to your ultimate purpose? A (personal) credit card should not (imo) be used to fund mass business expenses, you would be better off securing a large revolving line of credit with your bank. Not only will that give you all the cash you need when you need it, it will have a lower interest rate.

An additional option, wait until you have a known large expense inbound and then apply for a credit card with a long 0% apr introductory offer.

Thank you so much guys for your input! you´re all very good at this, your expertise will change my life!

NFCU: i am not elegible as i dont meet any of the criteria, no connection whatsoever with millitary etc

DISCOVER: they dont accept ITIN, which is only what i have.

So we are left with:

Amex BCE

Chase Freedom unlimited.

Any other suggestions? Remenber i dont care about perks, only awesome potential for huge limits, even if i need to wait and apply only late thats fine.

What can you please tell me the order in wich i should apply, ie which one first? ( i suppose the easier to get first) And what minimum score you advise me for each?

My plan is:

1-get a CLI on my BOA that has 2000 i will shoot for 8000 and maybe they will counter 4000. wait 1 months

2-get my second credit card ie amex -wait 2 months

3- Get a CLI on amex after 61 days - wait 1 months

4- Get a CLI on the BOA cash rewards again - wait 1 month

5- get the 3rd card - wait 4 months

6-Get the CLI on amex wait 1 months

7-get a CLI on the 3rd card

Just keep in mind that if the Chase ecosystem allures you at all in the next two years, you want to get those cards first due to 5/24.

I think Amex will be your best bet. Discover is great too, but I agree with what was said earlier about being better used as a gardening card. I've heard that the Alliant Visa Signature offers a high SCL, but the UW may be more strict. It would be a good option for your much needed Visa for the 4th card. Keep in mind it does have an AF.

Three is a nice number of cards for several reasons. But at least two of them should be Visa or Mastercard products due to the lesser acceptance of AMEX and Discover. If you want to have both AMEX and Discover, you should have four cards total in order to also have two Visa/Mastercards.

He's right you should get in with a credit union. I got a 3000$ sl from dcu platinum last June. I only had 2 credit cards for 3 months prior. Fast forward to now and i just this month got an American Express gold card after 4 apps denied in last year by amex(Ed card, gold, and bce) the point is u won't get in with maybe the hardest bank chase right away.. so get a card with a decent sl (credit union). So other cards will be more favorable when you can get approved for them. Imo

Nobody can tell you what's easiest.
That is a variable that changes with each applicant and each credit history file.
And it might be a good idea to know your exact credit score and current report before applying for anything.
But if cold app'ing based on the information you have provided then AMEX is the card issuer to establish a long term relationship with. The earlier the better.
But I'd definitely try their pre-qualification site before anything.

I was in the same boat as you with only the BofA card until this year. I'm 20 with ~770 scores across all three bureaus and about 2 years of my own credit history (more with AU). I decided I was going to expand my fleet to 3 cards as well. For my second card I got the Discover it Student Cash Back which is good for the rotating categories and then this month I went ahead and got the Uber Visa which is a great year-round savings card. I'm most excited about the year-round 4% back on dining as that's what most of my spend is monthly (although I'm trying to change that )
