Citizen Bank Cli is a Hard Pull

Hello,

Just wanted to share that I recently called and asked for a CLI on the Citizen Bank Cashback Mastercard. I called with the first 60 days of opening account.
The rep on the phone *explicitly* said it would be a soft pull.
Immediately a hard pull showed up on my Equifax. I called back and complained. Eventually got nice letter from someone higher up. They had not been able to reach me by phone, it was off by one digit. She conceded that they had misinformed me. She also said the inquiry would be removed.

I'm actually still working to remove it. It is my guess that the conversation was on a recorded line and they were able to verify I was told the wrong info.

So count on a hard pull for a CLI with Citizens Bank!

Good to know - thanks for sharing.

I’ve had this card for about two weeks and have been using the heck out of it. Fortunately, my SL was pretty strong ($7400), so I don’t have to worry about asking for a CLI for quite a while.

We love this card too! Also using the heck out of it. I'm going to wait a year for CLI request(although I've read on forum you can ask after 9 months).
