Also I'm curious as I don't remeber, but did you PC the old Sears MC to the new Rewards card?

I ask because a friend of mine were talking just yesterday that he since he no longer uses it, that he'd just let them close it because of the high APR. I then mantioned that he might be able to PC it to Rewards card. Didn't know the issuer of the older card though.

No, its still the Sears MC but i did change over to the Thank You Points rewards system.

@AverageJoesCreditIs that offer by email or on the Sears MC site. I got a Sears MC in February and have never gotten a singly solitary offer. Well, I do have a BT offer, 27.49% + 5% transaction fee, think I'll take a pass on that one . . .

I did immediately change it to Thank You points, I haven't been inside a Sears store since Eisenhower was President

The Sears card seems to hand out bonuses a lot. Here’s the million dollar question, though. What cards do you actually have, AJC? You don’t have a list in your signature, but you seem to have all of them lol

Yes, I do love it when you get these offers AJC. It's evidence that one doesn't have to be a longtime cardholder or big spender to get meaninful offers that you might actually be able to take advantage of.

11% back in rewards that transfer 1:1 to cash/cash equivalent is nothing to sneer at.

Hey Dave, these are emails sent to me by Sears/Citi. I do actually have 4 different Bt offers on my account, all 0% , months long only difference and of course the dreaded 5%, which is my main turnoff. Perhaps if i actually used these deals more they would dry up?

Pink, i used to have my siggy up. Perhaps ill have Jago recreate it again lol. Lets just say im a child of myFico influence. What ive achieved on my lowly income is actually quite suprising despite many denials and throw way hps

Cold, yeah, lots of people think because Sears went bk that the card is a dud. Backed by Citi, seems it should maintain somesort of life for awhile

I swear that partnering with Citi and Discover for issuance of credit cards was the only smart things Sears ever did. I consider the Craftsman line to be questionable.

I have reason to believe that Citi will outlast Sears by a large margin.

I've had my Sears M/C (originally a store card) a total of 5 years now and just started getting them within the last year. Probably takes time.

AJC started getting offers I think it was about 3-4 months after he got the card.

What gets me is that I used to get these offers, and they also started 3-4 months after I was approved for the car. (approved sep '16, received offers jan '17). It's the fact that they stopped that confuses me. The only reason I can think of was that I lost the card and had $200 worth of fraudulent grocery charges that they caught. Even after switching to the TYP version of the card, I still don't receive any offers. I would call in and ask every now and then, and the CSR always tells me that my account is eligible, but he can never explain why they don't happen regardless.
