Ebates Visa and Amex MR redemption

Greetings MFers!

I recently activated an offer from amex allowing me to redeem ebates cash back as amex MR points. This has me wondering about the ebates Visa. Would the bonus 3% also go towards MR points? Does anyone have experience with this?

I've also wondered how the earnings on the Ebates Visa would work if someone had a MR-earning Ebates account. I don't have the answer, but hopefully somebody with more details will be able to chime-in.

I believe I saw one (maybe 2) people on a large FB travel group who said that it worked for them. It makes sense too, because with your MR-earning Ebates account, it's not like there are two places on the page to show your earnings.

I've actually been thinking about it for a while, and I'm surprised there aren't more DP's. For me, it's about whether I really want to try to get back under 5/24 or not.
