Add BBVA and Huntington. One might even say BBVA are a bit pushy about it. I believe Wells Fargo have them also but I never looked into theirs.

A real BT card will not be giving you checks to use. They will send you to their online portal to put in the info so that they can pay off your other balances on your behalf. Also they will give you a phone number to call directly to a BT department. The reason for this is that a real BT card will have a 0% BT fee offer for the first 60 days and the only way they can make that work is if they do not have to give you paper to play with and deposit into your bank account.

Almost all banks will offer you BT checks with an offer if you just let the account sit or even if you use it minimally. These are not BT cards but cards that you can do a BT to. Almost every card today can do BT's to some extent with the primary deference being the terms that you get. Remember a true BT card is an account that you can balance transfer to at no charge in the first 60 days and hold for 18mo.

What Xerofire says is true but for having a card that offers you repeated opportunity for doing balance transfers i find 1) Discover is a great choice to have as they usually offer them . You can also use it to get funds for yourself, not just pay another lender. In this its a great flexible card. I am now only starting to get checks sent to me in mail but before only online.

The Citi Diamond Preferred is also another flexible card beyond the original promo. I have constant offers, it can be directly deposited into my checking, which to me is the most important factor of a bt card, and if you ever tire of the card, can be pc'd. Sears MC also offers repeated bt options albeit at higher rate, 5% , which now seems to become the norm. Besides an original bt card that offers 0% transfer fees, these cards are solid to have. ( also have the Boa BBR which always offers same )

Exactly what I had in mind: freedom to use it however; arbitrage/BT/ damage control to credit reports vs a new inquiry for financing. I do a fair amount of large purchases @ vendors that don't accept CC's.
