Do you use a NFC (Contactless) enabled credit card?

So I'm curious how many people have a NFC (Contactless) enabled credit card and actually use the contactless feature? Or do you just use your phone instead for contactless payments?

I personally use the card itself for contactless payments where accepted as I don't have a NFC enabled phone.

In seems in the US this becoming far more common and more widly accepted and I actually think it's much better then having to insert your card.

I’ve never used it. In fact, out of the 12 credit cards and 5 debit cards in my wallet only both of my Capital One cards, my Cash Magnet, and my PayPal Business Debit card even have it.

Actually used it for the first time today and thought it was pretty cool. Like you, I used my physical card instead of just using my phone.

Think it’s something I’ll try to do more going forward.

I use it when available. I think it is much faster, and reduces wear on the card. For example, I just wave my card in the air twice when I am shopping at Costco (one for membership, one for payment).

I have no desire to use tap and pay. Works exactly like chip and pin, but it can be cloned if someone can get within a couple of inches of an unprotected card. It would be better to use applepay or Samsung pay because the app will create a one-time use token for transmission and you don't have to carry the card.

The first time I used it was at a mcdonalds that couldn't read my chip for whatever reason. I've had so many chip read errors.

I use my Android phone and the Google Pay app to pay via contactless/NFC when I have the opportunity to do so.

I use the contactless feature on my card when it's available.
I use Samsung Pay sometimes, though less frequently. The only reason being that I'm not used to pulling out my phone yet (I use it 100% at work, though - Because I always have my phone on me - I'm not in the habit of dragging my wallet around there)

I live in Paris and under a certain amount contactless is the law of the land. In fact I sometimes feel weird when traveling to the states and I need to sign a credit slip. Never had a problem with fraud or losing a card!

Same here. I exchanged one of my Amex cards and Cap1 cards to contactless when they were available. Using the phone only when I'm in line and have time press-press-press and bring up the app, or I'll use it if I don't have my physical cards with tme.

I'm not worried about the cloning thing as fraud protection is pretty good.

I use card's contactless feature if they are in my wallet.

I use phone's google pay if the card is not in my wallet.

When contactless is available at POS, I always try it first. Its faster, and protect my card from scratch, lol.

I use contactless whenever possible and normally carry only my TD Visa and Amex Gold - one or the other is accepted everywhere and they're my highest paying restaurant cards, which are less likely to accept contactless, especially in the US. Also, most stores here in Canada have a $100 CDN limit on contactless.

When I was recently in London, it is all I used. It was so convenient and available. Restaurants, shops, the few museums or sights that charged, busses, trains, everything could be paid contactless (or in my case by my Apple Watch). It really took the stress out of paying for things. I wish the US was more onboard with contactless.

There has not ever been one confirmed case of someone having their credit card info stolen this way. It’s way too difficult when they can just go online and purchase a list on the dark web or slip a skimmer in and walk away. RFID blocking is one of the biggest scams going on right now because outside of showing it *can* be done, there is no evidence it has actually been done in the real world.

I didn't pull a card or cash out of my wallet for a single purchase. It really made me wish I had an Altitude Reserve, though🤩

Well, most recently, THE Google paid $3.2B for Looker (June 2019) Possibly didn't put it all on a credit card though, even NFC!

I use NFC where I can. My BCP had it for several years. Seeing the antenna in the clear card was actually kind of cool. My biggest spend is on groceries, and I only have two grocery store options; one caps at $100 for NFC (ingles), and the other just doesn't use it (kroger) so I rarely get to use it on those.

Other than that, I use it every time it is available...unless I want to use a non NFC card (e.g. discover)

I usually just put my wallet up to the reader and let the cards battle it out for which one gets the charge. It's kind of funny seeing the cashiers reaction.
