Macy's card ?

Looking for another card to help repair credit.....BOA and HSBC a no-go yet. Has Cap One good history, no lates, but only card....

Any good info on Macys card and what they look for as far as scores/CRA's?

Great card to have.Pulled only EX for me. I really cant remember score ,Low 700 i believe.recieved a cl of $200There are several post here that the card will grow super quick..

Also if you are going to app do it in store.This was my lowest cl along with target..I apped for both on line..

one of the best overall store cards imo.

i was approved for 400 around the 680s EX about 15 months ago. current CL: 4200.

a score over 600 may be good enough for approval AFAIK

a number of us have been cheerleaders for the macy's GLI every three months which was a nice feature.

recently a csr told me the guideline was changed to permit of a cli every 6 mos. and standards have otherwise been tightened, so things may be changing. not surprising as issuers continue to adjust to internal and climatic pressures.

applying in store is recommended because it appears to stream line the id process and can open up initial cl parameters for best result.

HI, i just called to see if i could get a credit guideline increase 3 and half month since i ask for my last one and just got denied. my credit limit is 1800 dollars. Had the card since august of last year. I dont know what m experian score is but my transunion is 664 and exquifax is 699. So i really dont know why i got denied. They just told me i can call back in another 3 mths. i guess banks are getting more sticter. This is the first time i was denied since i got the card every three mths they were giving me a guideline increase. I started with a credit line of 600.

I think you were denied because Macys just recently changed their GLI from every 3 months to 6. That was what I was told yesterday when I asked about a GLI.
