Chase Auto CLI?

I thought that chase did auto increases at six months but I’m at 7 months and saw nothing. Is there a way to push it or request with a SP?

You sure you're talking about Chase?

Auto CLI happen with them, for some it can be within months of approval, and for others years or never.

If you want a CLI from Chase, you'll most likely need to ask for one. There will be a HP.

You may get nothing, a few hundred or a really big chunk.

When it comes to Chase, there's actually no set-in-stone rule for auto-CLIs. The general guidance (from anecdotal DPs), is that auto-CLIs can *likely* occur during such timeframe, but that doesn't apply to every accountholder.

Typically, the only SP CLIs are those which are targeted (snail mail, email, etc.). Otherwise, any customer-initiated requests will be HP.

My suggestion is to keep using the card with moderate spend and see what it yields in the next ~6 months.

Chase has always been difficult for me. I don't think I have ever received one on either of my cards. However, they are not my main cards and I rarely use them. That is probably the key to no CLIs for me.

I received auto CLI on a card I barely used. No CLI on the one that is used heavily

I just received my first auto-CLI ($1500) a few months ago, 12 years after opening my Freedom card. Chase auto-CLIs are actually fairly rare, at least around here.

Of my three Chase cards, two have had auto CLIs in the past year or two. In both cases it was after significantly paying down the balance.

I took a HP after 8 months to get Freedom from $600 to $2k (I had asked for $3k). Never gotten an auto-CLI from Chase.

Maybe Chase would have given me an auto-CLI after two years...but by that time, I had already added another three Chase cards.

I haven't had one from them in over a year now and it was only for my FU. Would be nice if they would do APR as well, but I guess it doesn't really apply to me since I pay them off in full every month.

They started me at 9k and it has never budged. I doubt it ever will but 9k isn't bad from Chase all things considered for me. If I were stuck sub 5k I would be bummer but I have never taken a HP for a CLI and I have no plans to do so. I hate HPs.

So it appears than do only one pull for applications, but double pulls for CLI requests. I will write that in my notes. Thanks, wasCB14.

No, the majority of people seem to get double pull on apps .Very few get single pull and im going to wager those who do have very strong profiles that satisfy whatever Chase is looking for with their applicants. I would caution spplying for a Chase card thinking they will only pull one bureau. That path will lead to disappointment. Better to expect 2 and be thrilled if only one. Just my casual observation

I have been a Chase customer for some years now. When I applied for the Disney card, they pulled EX and EQ. The next day when I applied for the Freedom card they pulled TU. I live in FL if that makes a difference...

Yeah, I wasn't saying it was "always 1 pull for approval" or anything like that. I was just saying "not always 2 or 3".

I don't know about a "very strong" profile. My scores hover around 800 now, but Freedom (again, EX only) was my first credit of any sort. My EX report only showed an inquiry from a rejected GE Brooks Brothers store card app. And that was before Chase's spaghetti logic tagged me as a VIP, so no special treatment other than for having maybe $10k in checking/savings.

Keep in mind that if you're selecting samples from self-reports on MF, there's going to be some sample selection bias. An enthusiastic rebuilder may be likely to spread word about an approval or CLI, while a lot of people with "good enough" credit don't even read MF, so don't report their single pulls.

i got mine at 3months of having my Chase Freedom Unlimited, Dp from what i did in those 3 months, Lots of swipes small and large and a Balance transfer..Multiple Payments sometimes 4 times a week since i have a chase checking and i never carried a Balance and only would let 1 percent post on my cycle date then pay immediately after. also i do consider myself lucky because my file is thin compared to most but my scores are great, its just me against time at this point currently gardening for a yr also at this point
Also I was Blessed To Not only get the 3% cashback for the first year But also They Gave Me the 150.00 sign up bonus for spending 500.00 within 3 months on my Freedom Unlimited Card Chase has been very good to me with Having a thin file
