Discover No-fee BT offers gone?

The only thing I use the Discover cards for is the no-fee balance transfer offers. For about 2 months, they have been gone from my account. If they don't come back I'm going to close my Discover accounts. I know it will break @AverageJoesCredit's heart, but what can I do?

I still get them on both accounts. I checked a couple weeks ago and they prominently displayed on the splash page upon signing in. That said, though, I don't use BT offers, but it's nice to see them pop up.

I didn’t even notice their no fee BT offer as I’ve always been seeing the 3%. Or could just be targeted.

I get both—the 3% fee for 12 mo 0%APR or the 0% fee for 4.99%APR for 15 mos.

Hmmm, the 2nd offer use to be 3.99% APR for 18 mos.

I still have a no fee offer. It probably rotates and varies. I don't really notice since I don't tend to use the offers.

Haven't had offers in 8+ months... Not really sure what the deal is, but have better cards to use for BT offers although Discover is known for them. Really only use of discover imo is 5% cats if they work for you up to a whopping 1500 dollars lol or their bt offers

Sad AJC. Yeah i would miss a SJ sanz Discover but its hard to defend my mistress when she has stripped me of all offers for the first time in 3 years🤨 i am bt less and i feel naked🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🙏

I had a 0% 4.99% offer that I took advantage of last month to get my SSL set up. Now I have two 3% fee options, 3.99% for 18 months and 0% for 12.

Next month all 3% fee offers are going to 5% too. Disco may just end up being utilization padding for 3/4 of the year. I’ll still use it for groceries in 1Q but now that I have the Amazon Store Card, it won’t see 4Q use.

The 0% for 12 months on purchases deal could get me to use it though if I don’t have another card with an intro running at the time and I have a large purchase to make.

Because I so frequently run into places that don't accept Discover, I hate to waste 1 of the 2 places in my wallet designated for personal credit cards on a Discover card, just on the off chance I might find something that fits their category of the moment.

Mine disappear after new accounts, show up again, only to disappear again. I'm not heartbroken as I have no balances but that's really the only reason I was hanging onto this card, "just in case" scenario.

I worked"hard" on getting it to grow, especially after they started with CLI "nope" and now that's it finally at the place where I wanted it to be, I think I am done.

I am horrible with categories, so I can see myself closing it in the near future because that was the only reliable thing about them and now that even BT offers have become iffy, I am really having hard time finding a value in keeping it.

They haven't seen any spend in a while either, so I cant say I blame them. I am a terrible customer for them and they are no longer a right lender for me.

I'll ponder it a bit longer.

A while back I read (I think it was in the updated terms Disco sent me) that the 5% BT fee would be on a case-by-case basis. And, I’m hoping that is the case.

I suppose the offers aren’t bad if I need an emergency loan, 3% fee and no interest is unbeatable, I would prefer $0 fee and actually get charged interest but we will see what they offer in the future. I should note that I have paid off most of the BT I took last month, only $300 remains, so Disco offering me BTs right now is actually kind of surprising given they didn’t earn anything on the first one.

As for the fee, it’s possible that they will do it on a case by case basis but the rep I spoke with when the change was first announced seemed to believe it would be 5% for everyone with promos occasionally at 3%.

Citibank keeps trying to push the 5% fee for BT, I am like ~~HELL~~ Heck No!

I have a 0% fee offer 0% APR from Amex up to 25K for a year.

Like you we took advantage of bt a few weeks ago. Now the offers are: Apr 0%, 9 months, Fee 3% or Apr 5.99%, 15 months, Fee 3%.

Did you pay off the BT quickly like I did? I took $3500 and paid back $3200 already so I’m not sure if Disco likes that or not (they shot me down for a CLI this morning, so it didn’t impress them too terribly) but my offers definitely are a bit better than yours.

No, I did mine on Aug 6, mine was 2900, now it's 1100. Should I pay more or drag it out? What do they want? I saved the 0%fee for a rainy day, this is the first BT I've ever done so basically was curious. That 0% fee is gone now. I probably should have done that one, but I didn't you could lose the offer.

Honestly I don’t know what Disco likes when it comes to BTs. This is only the second BT offer I’ve ever accepted period (first was NFCU and those are always no fee).

I am not too concerned about it either way, just curious if there is method to their madness or if it’s like CLIs where it literally makes no sense. Since it’s Disco, it’s probably the latter.

I haven't received a Citbank BT offer in about 2 years. I really liked their 3% fee and did 2 BTs. But if they're going to 5%, I'm with you; they can definitely keep it.

Now, I would love to have that offer from AmX. What card is this on?
