Received one today, how solid are they? Also, is there a way to check SL before apping? What offers do they give out, if any?

I also received one today in the mail, after reviewing all the information I decided to pass on that credit card. I just don’t want to waste the hard pull.

From all information on this forum the pre-qualification is as solid as you can get for approval.

Very few reports of a denial after getting a code.

There is no way to check the SL first.....you have to submit and take your chances.

They also don't seem to be new account and inquiry sensitive from reports.

The current offer I believe is 0% BT for 13 months and 100$ account credit for 1500$ spend in 3 months.

SCL seem to be all over the place based on scores.....seen a few 5 digit ones .....and a few for a few thousand ....but most seem to be around the 5k to 7k mark.

I got the same offer in the mail on Friday. I pulled the trigger last night. Went to a upload documents page where it asked for my front and back of my drivers license which I uploaded right away. Got email saying it is under review now. Appears they pulled Experian only. I have tons of Inqs and new accounts so this will be interesting to see the outcome. Will update my post if I'm approved.

Don't do it, it's a trap! Lol I got the same mailer and pulled the trigger only to get a $1700 SL. The lowest I saw on here was $2K so I was disappointed. Wasn't worth the HP for me, but In all fairness I have opened a lot of accounts since October so I should have expected that. But my 🍏card SL lured me into a false sense of security.

Good Luck if you decide to app! Seems like a good card to have for a 3% catagory.

Ugh, I thought $2K was the floor since that’s what they gave me. I bet yours will grow quickly though if you use it.

Yeah you can check in the BBVA app or on the website. Hit add more products and if you have the option for credit cards, you’ll be able to see limits there.

My fiancé and I got mailers and both got approved for $7,500. My score came in at 730 with them after my recent app spree. I like the 3%, 2% categories. I’ll also note that in my experience having several be accounts around 6 months and a recent app spree with 3 approvals within a week of applying they aren’t too sensitive on new accounts and inquiries. As an FYI I am now at 7 hard pulls.

Got a Pre-Approved mailer a few months ago.

I think I had to type in a code sent to my cell

while applying. Went pending. Next morning was approved.

Called and asked for SL and was 10K No Docs.

740 Fico8 average score with the 3 crb's

I had at least 20 hps at the time.

I got one of these as well and was confused as I had never even heard of this bank before. It's the only other pre-qual letter I've received aside from Citi. Are they considered a sub-prime lender?

No they’re not a subprime lender. The ClearPoints is actually a pretty nice category card.

I got the same flyer in the mail. I thought about applying because it is a Spanish bank, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, and so I thought it might have no FTF. Nope, it's 3% like most cards. Oh well, back to the garden for me.

As @Saeren mentioned, BBVA USA (formerly BBVA Compass) is not a sub-prime bank.

I actually just got approved via their pre-qual’d mailer few days ago with a $10K SL. And only way “I think” you can app online is with an invitation code. Otherwise you have to be within their footprints of operation and go in-branch.

The pre-qual’d app based on DPs seems pretty solid with just a very few denials but mostly approvals. It just asks for DL/ID infos(DL # and Expiration) and a code sent to your mobile then voila... Instant Approval! At least in my case. Oh and I don’t have any existing relationship with them prior to app.
