Hi Guys

Until i just read a thread on here, I didn't know that you could get 2 Discover Cards - I currently have an IT with $18k CL and around 20% interest, $0 Balance. Just for shiggles, I tried their prequal and was offered 14 Months at 0% then 13.99% - This is a lot lower interest than I have now.

Does Discover combine cards & limits?

Are their prequals pretty rock solid (like chase and citi)?

Does Discover combine cards & limits? Yes, typically one card has to be eligible (usually when it yields a CLI). You would decline the CLI and reach out to them to see about combining. There's a mega-thread that descibes the process.
Are their prequals pretty rock solid (like chase and citi)? For the most part, yes. But, it's not always 100% guaranted as with any pre-approval. It can still be declined as per previously reported DPs.

You can also chat them and ask for APR reduction on the card you already have if you're interested

Yes if you call customer service they may be willing to lower your current apr and/or offer you a special 0% financing for a year. But if you want a second card too you could do the above and app for a second! I did both in the past few months hehe
