I just got my platinum schwab and it's the same as vanilla. Doesn't have the schwab branding. I have the vanilla platinum and the ameriprise platinum also.

Unless they've done away with the Schwab 'branding' recently I would hope it acts, quacks and behaves like any other AmEx Platinum, no?

Honestly, at the end of the day, the branding is barely noticeable (even for my Ameriprise version) that I've yet to encounter anyone who differentiates their Platinum card by brand. Some inherent benefits may vary by the respective brokerage partnerships, but that's about it.

CS Plat gets all the same multipliers, etc with the added benefit of cashing out your MR points, as long as THAT still works, you should be golden.

Schwab plat allows you to redeem MR at 1.25cpp into a schwab account.

SUBs plus credits. Some get retention bonuses despite minimal spend. Some play PC games to maximize credits and minimize AFs.

With CS acquiring TD Ameritrade, I'm looking forward to my TDA merging, then I'll apply for the AMEX Platinum CS. Already have the AMEX Gold Card and love the 4x on groceries (and other perks)!
