Hm - I find it interesting that Bank Credit Card, Amex Card, Oil Company Card, and Department Store Cardare all in seperate categories for that test.

It's seems a bit strange that they don't ask about how recently you have applied for other credit or about current balances.

It shows that I would qualify for over $5000. But in reality, I am sure that my multiple new accounts and inquiries would quite possibly get me denied.

Also, at this point I am not interested in any bankcards which are not at least $10k.

I also qualified for $5,000 but I know that is not realistic because with my income I'm sure I would never qualify for anything near that high nor would I want a card that high.

While others on here brag about getting 10k+ with their new NFCU cards I got $1,200 & $1,000 respectively. Granted part of that was probably due to my credit score, but I'm sure my income (considerably less than what I've seen most on here post) has a lot to do with it.

Personally I think a CCC is only going to offer someone so much credit in my income bracket. Which makes perfect sense because if someone doesn't have the income to be able to afford a certain CL it is too much risk for the lender.

NFCU does offer higher CL's even without high income IF:

1. You have good credit and scores

2. You have an established (long history) credit profile.

3. You have cash reserves (savings).

4. You have low debt (not carrying lots of balance, loans, etc).

There have been several people post how teachers and "back to school" adults with $12,000 to $35,000 incomes had $20k + CL's. Now I don't know if they started that high, but the fact that they allowed it to build to that is something.

I think the reason is that NFCU is not afraid (if you are credit worthy) of people carrying balances at times and paying out over time. And if you get a card that is 8-9%, then the APR is reasonable if you have a responsible use.

Based on the questions in the test, I EASILY qualified for over $5,000. However, based on what is in my credit reports, I doubt if I would be approved for ANYTHING. Too bad they didn't ask at least something about your credit history--that would make the "test" more meaningful.

If so, then an application may get denied AND CLD your existing BoA account thus causing a large increase in util %, thus causing rate jacks across the board for any CCC's using the "universal" clauses, thus causing large increases in minimum payments......and so on.

Just thought I'd throw some BoA dry humor in there.

Yea..txjohn...that's dry humor. Go to there website and tab on the credit cards link it takes you too that World Points Mastercard page same app etc. Terms & Condition. From the looks of this website, looks like it's a small no name bank. As I've never heard of them till today but the credit insturments they offer are backed by B of A

Yea I like those boys too. Didn't like how they did Owens, he's got allot of talent but I understand why Jerry Jones did what he did. That Owens can be a hand full sometimes and the season right around the corner.
