My first Capital One (Walmart) card Experience

With all the hub bub over the recent transition from Synchrony Bank to Capitol One for Walmart Credit, i figured id share my feelings on my experience with Capitol One. So far im pleasantly pleased as all my alerts are arriving in a timely fashion. Ive made two recent orders with my new accounts, one store and 1 MC, have just recieved my new MC, and i really like the fact they let me know the charge was made, credit available and just seems an overall clean look. I never got caught up in the reporting and closing of my Sync csrds because i know it will all work out in the end. Signed up for Credit Journey and so far just wanted to say nice job Capital One

It's got to be a refreshing change to see instant alerts as opposed to Synchrony's 2-3 days behind alerts.

I don’t have the Walmart card but I have two Cap One CCs. I really like Cap. One of the best mobile app experiences as well. They get a lot of slack but they’ve been good to me for almost 10 years now.

They've also been a lending institution to me for almost 10 years now. Sometimes their pursuit of profits intersects with my financial needs.

Cap 1 has a very good alert system never had an issue with them just need that Love Button show some love ❤️ so wanna Leave a Bat Attack CLI

Lol, thanks guys. I guess its too bad i cant experience their other cards due to location but it has been nice so far. Made my first payment. Took a couple days but smooth as butter. I get daily texts. Anyone who knows me knows ive already HulkSmashed. To no avail, Vicky, of course. I seriously doubt ill ever see an increase on my MC as i wont have the spend necessary to facilitate one but thats ok. Kinda wish i could move over my 15k from my store card to my MC but its all good. Im not a fan of Wally but even i got to say their shipping is pretty quick to me

Capital One is second only to AMEX for me (I tend to focus on their tech). I was really excited about the transition because of this reason and was looking forward (for a year since the announcement) to applying because of Capital One. But now that it's here, the limited-time rewards structure has prevented me from applying for the Walmart card.

Capital One has a 6 month CLI policy so give the hulk finger a rest.

Oh im not gonna smash no more but its my understanding that cli , if given is every 6 months but if denied you can try as many times as you like?

That's been my experience (moreso with the frequent "smashing" vs the CLI).

Nice! I have to say, if they'd up the in-store rewards to even just 3%, I'd probably want this card back lol. The 2% in-store (which is where I do most Walmart shopping) just isn't enough considering the DC gives the same on anything.

I just called them today, now that its in my CapOne app.

Requests -

1) change due date back to old due date - SUCCESS
2) Lower purchase apr to match my quicksilver apr (3% lower than walmart card) - REJECTED
3) CLI for both cap one cards - 3-5 day message (most likely rejected!)

Capital One has great customer service up there with Discover. Happy for the move.

Does anyone know if Cap will ever offer the 0% on purchases? Was looking forward to being able to take advantage of the 12 months 0% Synch offered. Called Capitol One and was told they do not offer it. Not very pleased with that..
