I of course have this on my Delta Reserve, but not on my work Business Platinum where the bill actually goes. Argh! Guessing it's not targeted to those that regularly have thousands of VZW charges each month?

Pre-paying your phone bill would be an option if you have service with them. Also, apparently FIOS is also on the table if I remember the DoC post from this morning about it correctly

Very good point if FIOS will trigger it. It has always triggered the 10%/15% back on "cell phone bill" Amex Offers for me, and prepaying is not an issue even with automatic billing. I had to do that in January due to very tricky 2x Delta Reserve SUBs that needed to be hit the first week of January, no sooner and no later. As an aside, FIOS does not trigger the cable/internet 5% on USB Cash+ as it actually codes on Visa as a magnetic-reading payphone, which is bizarre.

Had the unicorn offer similar to this Verizon one where paying $175 towards AT&T netted you $100 and you were able to get to do it twice. Probably the best/easiest offer I ever got from AMEX

Link here talking about it. Apparently it works in conjunction with gift cards if I'm understanding it correctly.

US Bank has betrayed Verizon's secrets! Yes, this is actually how it works. The "router" sends a request to an offshore call center. They access the site you are attempting to reach, dump the resulting screen to mag tape and place a call through a 1970's mag tape reading phone back to the router. FiOS is Verizon's Fiber-to-the-Premises internet, available only in a few regions.

This one would have suited me, as I am an AT&T subscriber. But I tend not to get the useful offers that require normal spend.

Can I use this offer when buying a phone? I use Verizon, prefer to buy phones outright vs making installment payments and have been planning to get a new phone soon either way. Seems like the answer would be yes, asking in case I am overlooking a gotcha. Thanks.

AT&T is the one I needed but I got the Verizon one 😕

Keep an eye out on DoC for it and other good ones. I normally don't scroll the offers on my AMEX account til a good one shows up on that website then I go through all the cards for their offers. Use it as a sort of reminder

I'm wondering if this language "at a Verizon company store or online at verizonwireless.com/stores by 12/31/2019" makes it so paying your bill isn't actually guaranteed to get the $100 back for this offer? Am I being too cautious?
