When does CSR AF post?

So I got CSP last year, PC'ed to CSR last month, right after 1 year, and before the AF posting.

I was expecting CSR's 450 AF to post when first statement cut after PC, but it didn't. So when should I expect the AF to be posted?

I have pc'ed alot originally had the CSP(few years) then pc'ed to CSR(year plus) then had to cut some expenses for awhile so downgraded to CS(yearish) then re-upped about 9 or 10 months ago to the CSR it took about 6 months for the AF to hit.. Weird thing is got travel credit right away and in theory used it then PC'ed again but wouldn't of been good for Chase or mysef w/regards to that relationship. I would expect approx 6 statements after PC for AF to hit. You should get a warning I believe 2 statements prior to AF hitting if I am not mistaken. It will certainly come though.

I upgraded from CSP to CSR back in January and just saw the AF post about 45 days ago. This has been the trend as well from the DP's i've seen. It usually takes quite some time.

Soon as the AF posted, I called to downgrade. Almost 9 months of CSR for free including the travel credit. If chase closes the account, so be it. I haven't used it since Febuary. They were even kind enough to refund me $2.17 for the annual fee interest.

Hello. Quick question regarding the product change. I got the CSP on Oct. 16th last year. I called this week on the 16th to see about changing to the CSR and I was told that since she didn’t see any product change offers on my account, I should call back after this statement closes...the statement after my account turns 1 year old.

Did everyone else have this same experience? I’m just curious if I should wait or call to speak with someone else.

What is your CL is it greater than or equal to 10k? If so wait for statement to cut then call back and see if you can PC at that time as card act requires 12 months how chase interupts that i am unsure if 12 months or 12 statements.. Guessing 12 statements and 12 months

As a data point, I got my CSP 01 JAN 2017. PC to CSR 01 AUG 2018. AF charged 01 DEC 2018.

When the annual fee is charged after PC from CSP to CSR is the annual fee pro-rated as of the date PC was requested or when the fee is charged?

2018 June 10th, app and approved for CSP, no AF

2019 June 11th, PC to CSR, 300 travel credit available, no AF

Thank you for the data point.

Would have been sweet if annual fee were prorated.

Edit: You pc’d at or near first moment you could so, so even pro-rated fee would be almost full fee anyway, but you did get a nice delay before it was charged.

They sort of prorated for me. I got half of my CSP AF back when I upgraded in May. CSR AF posted in October finally.

I got my CSP in January 2018, PC'd it in May 2019, and nearly immediately got the prorated refund from the Year 2 CSP fee.

I got the $300 travel credits soon after that.

I thought the CSR was prorated also, but it posted the entire $450 fee on October 1 2019.

Now I wonder if the CSR "anniversary" has been changed to May timeframe, rather than being January. If the anniversary remains January, then I've been overcharged for 2019 AF, $450 for CSR plus $30 for the CSP. The full fee being charged in October leads me to believe the anniversary has been switched to April or May or mid-year.

I just called Chase on phone regarding upgrade.
Anniversary date DOES change.
Consistent with what peolple have posted, you get charged the full $450 if you product change from CSP to CSR
There may be other issuers that change anniversary dates but this is the first time I have heard of such a case.

Yes, the anniversary date changes when you do a PC. My CSP was opened in a January, PC was done in an August, and my travel credit renews in August. I was given a prorated refund on my CSP's AF as well. Fair enough but not as nice as Amex's prorating when I did PC from SPG to SPG Luxury on launch day (half of SPG back, half off of SPG Luxury, and still got full $300 credit with no change to anniversary date).
