Closed credit one today, after roughly a year, offered a second card and kept sending emails so finally decided it was time for them to go..
scores are starting to get back where they once were after advice from all of you good people here! Thank you all so much.

Every time someone closes a Credit One or another subprime/predatory/starter card, a credit angel gets their wings... Congratulations!

When your credit gets wrecked, it's like cutting down or a storm destroyed all your trees in your yard, and afterward you wish it didn't happen. So to get your yard back to where it was, you have to replant those trees and wait a LONG time to get them back to where they were. Credit one is like the baby tree. Once the trees start getting some size to them, you start to feel better about the yard and don't feel bad the trees are no longer small. Congrats.
