Discover No Longer Giving Me Balance Transfer Options

Hello everyone,
I am new this place but I have been reading/following the comments in regards to Discover IT Balance Transfer options for about 12 months.

So here is my story...

I have been a member with Discover for about 4-5 years. I have two credit cards with them. one card has 45K limit, second card has a 5k limit.

Now I have consistently had balance transfer options EVERY SINGLE day since the days I have opened the cards.

Everything stopped for me around Mid January 2019. I have not rec'd one single balance transfer offer and neither has my family or friends regardless of their credit scores.

FYI..I have $0 Balance of both credit cards.

Credit Score is in the 700s...

I have contacted Discover Customer Service by phone and chat many,many times since I ONLY got the Discover IT cards due to the great Balance Transfer options. Again, this not only goes for myself but for my friends and family as well. We have been told numerous times by CS reps that they do not know when anyone will get an offer and cannot tell you why you are not getting an offer.

I'm not a brainiac but common sense tells me that Discover Credit Card company made a business decision in early 2019 to cancel majority of its balance transfer options rolling forward.

Notice! If you hold Citi cards they are giving out balance transfer options 100% of the time.

Just sucks because I loved Discover but now I have no use for them.

What is your credit limit on your Discover card and when did you open the account up?

I would bet you opened the card up within the year?

If longer than a year, can you do a screenshot of your offer.

I see these 2 balance transfer options in my Discover portal. Are these the offers that you are referring to?

@Anonymous, my Chrome is three months old and I do have the BT offer there. My It Cash is 16 months old and has no offers.

Yes, this is what I am referring to...

my question for people who might actually have these offers.

What is your credit limit and how long have you had discover credit cards?

Again, my limit is 45k with 0 balance and 5k with 0 balance.

I used to get offers daily by Discover from 2015-Jan 2019.

Now I dont know any family member or friend that is getting them and we are pretty much checking daily online

See I thought I was on to something...

Anyone with a card over a year old is NOT getting balance tranfer options from Discover and sadly customer service wont tell you why.

I used to have them and now I dont. Last time I saw one was in April. I recently got BT checks from Discover, but when I look in my account, still no BT offers.
I have nothing to transfer so it's fairly irrelevant, though it would be nice to have one "just in case"
Not sure when it was opened, close to 3 years, limit is $24K (roughly)

Sad to say man.....The only time I ever truly needed a large balance transfer Discover Card was not there for me...

I wish they would have a rep come on and actually give insight to their customers on what's going on.

Literally just got a 0% Balance Transfer offer from Discover in the mail a couple of days ago. Currently have like a 20 dollar balance and a CL of 3,500.

Data points:
Card #1 36k CL age 5y6m = has BT offers (3% fee 0% APR for 12m or 0% fee 5.99% APR for 18m).
Card #2 20.5k CL age 2y5m = has BT offers (4% fee, 0% APR for 12m or 3% fee 3.99% APR for 18m).

I have IT since 2013 CL15k. I do see offer "lower rate" and "more time", and I do receive mail offer every few weeks too

I've found over the 3 years my Discover has been open, they hawk their BT stuff at me and flood my snail mail box with checks regularly in the fall and nothing during the times I actually would need them.

I've got this on my June 2018 card ($3K limit, zero balance), but nothing on my June 2017 card ($1900 limit, zero balance). I've never bothered looking before so I'm not a good data point however.

Don't we ALL! ....stuff dreams are made of! (Edit: What offer did you normally take? checks, direct deposit, bt cards?)

My Dh cashback has always had offers, not even a year old. My card which was a secured is now a year old, 0% interest for a year and hasn't the first bt offer.

Even since my Disco was paid off earlier in the year I have had BT offers similar to the ones above. $5,900 CL and the card is 5 years old give or take.
