American Express Optima Card

I owed a balance on my Amex Card in 2018. This same year i started receiving pay off letters stating if I paided the balance i would be eligible for an Optima Card. I paided the balance and I have been going though this vicious circle with them regarding the paper application for the Optima card. Everytime i ask them to send out an paper application they instead send me the original payment letter I received in 2018… Help anyone?

When did you pay it off? Do you still have the original letter with the Optima offer?

I paided it off July 2018 and yes I still have the letter

You might have missed your window. Based on this thread, https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Rebuilding-Your-Credit/AMEX-Optima-Oasis/td-p/5158188 seems the application must be completed within 30 days.

Understable; The problem is I never received the application. I probably called them around 10 times.

Call Amex's Global Collection Dept. and explain the situation.
