Anyone going for expedia 70k Citi card?

Seems like an awesome temporary offer 70k expedia card... Heard it started today. Tempting, but i need to lay low to avoid the Chase axe for a month or two after my recent marriott approval.. Seems like a heck of a sign-up bonus though.

I’m done chasing.....It feels like I’m getting a SUB this month from my ink+ w/ about 62k UR points from 5x plus shopping portal for office expenses. I blew all my UR points out this year time to reload...

3 flights to Chicago and 9 nights at the Chicago Langham club level put a dent in them. Lol! I used Expedia chase portal for the trips.

Seems like alot 1k in travel for 2k spend.. unless i dont understand how expedia points work? Good deal? As mentioned i cant go for it.. Imagine that! Would love to see a few others on the forums that arent so new accounts adverse like myself get a good little sign-up bonus for money they gotta spend anyways.. unclear as well that is why i posted it as seems very nice, but others tht know Expedia better hopefully will weigh in.. think normal is 40k for that card and was up to 50k on special sign-up now going ot 70k for black friday..

So $1000 for VIP Access Hotels, but from what I'm seeing the normal redemption value is $0.0071 per point (0.71 cents per point), so the value for non-VIP Access Hotels (which I would be unlikely to book because I want my Marriott perks, rewards, and elite night credits for booking through Marriott) or flights would be about $500 for 70k points? Still a very nice SUB!

Yep, basically crappy point system. At least Hilton gives 3 points per $ and Marriott 2 per $ on reg spend.

Tempting offer, but I already have it lol. I had the Voyager+ with a targeted 50K SUB (or was it 60K?...I can't remember now) back in 2017. So, last year I downgraded to the no-AF version. The 70K SUB is the highest I've seen as a public offer.

Can you confirm if the 0.71 cpp is correct, or does the value of rewards change depending upon your Expedia Rewards status (since this card gives you Gold)?

Not me! Offer expires next month and I am not applying for anything until tax season rolls around, and contemplating Business Platinum 100k or 110k offer for $25,000 spend in 3 months. I'll just sit over here with my popcorn and look for Mahraja over in approvals.

The value of rewards appears to vary between Gold and Silver from what I can tell. I downgraded to Silver last year (I know...blasphemy!). Gold gets the 30% points bonus with automatic +gold status whereas it's 10% points bonus with automatic +silver status. The base points is the same for both cards when booking on Expedia.com, though.

Heck yes!

1) I need new tires ($800), so that's 40% of the required spend.

2) The Stella in Bryan/College Station is an Expedia VIP hotel next door to one of the top 40 golf courses in the state (Tradition Club at A&M designed for Nicklaus by Chet Williams) where I can play twice a month for cart fee only.

I considered this card a few yearas ago since I used Expedia to book trips, though I haven't even used them on the past 3 years. So while I'm tempted with the 70K points, I'm not sure it would fit my long term goal use. It likely wouldn't be used past the SUB.

Plus I'm trying to stay under 5/24 with no HPs.
