NFCU QUESTION...

I know I could call and ask but figured if I can get an answer here it may help others. My wifes Secured NFCU card just graduated aftet the 6th stament and was converted to the Cash Back version. I was noticing on that card there is a $250 bonus if you spend $2500 within 90 days. Since her card graduated to that card, and is not new would she still qualify for the bonus? Thanks in advance,

Unfortunateley. I don't think so. Depending on score etc., she may be able to go for a second card though.

Did this convert on its own or did you ask? You could product change to a GoRewards and then apply fresh for the CB card. After Jan 2, 2020 they will likely have another SUB as they always seem to have one on the CB card.

It converted on its own. She did apply for a second card butnwas denied for inquiries. Probably need to give it another 6 months. If she does a product change would she qualify for any bonuses on the new card?

No, it has to be a fresh app. Yes, give it a bit of time. These sign up bonuses are usually available.

That said, you can still product change if it suits you. Make sure you spend or redeem any points before you product change though.

Added: Congrats... this will lead to much more at NFCU. Use it and PIF, they will reward her.

She also got a message back after the sent a recon yesterday after she denied a CLI increase on the card that graduated and they raised her from the $2000 CL to a $4000 CL. Couldn’t have done it without all the great advice given here.
