Chevron Gas Card

Has anyone every applied for a chevron or shell gas card? Did you get instant approval? Has anyone gotten approved after they got the "we will notify you, blah, blah, blah" notice?

I just applied for it about 3 days ago, got the we are processing... will keep you posted.

I applied for a pre-approved Chevron Gas Card offer about a week ago. I figured I might as well apply for it since I primarily use Chevron gas. After I applied, I just got a small confirmation saying something to the effect, "Thank you for applying." I figured I didn't get approved, since most offers I apply for either state your approval or denial right then. Within in 3 days, I had 2 new cards from them!

I applied for a Chevron/Texaco card back in august. Applied online, got the same old message "we need to review and will get back to you". And just sat and waited for either the card or the denial letter.

The card came in the mail 2 weeks later. $400 cl.

The card wasn't something I was desperate for, because for the past 6 years I had been using my other Visa's to pay for gas. Just thought it'd be neat to have it, and spread the utils over more cards.

With such a low cl, I have to watch it like a hawk. I check my balance online with them(and all my other cc's) at LEAST 3 times per week.

I will NOT go into the default interest rate again, ever, because of going over limit or being late. Never.
