So who will keep their Barclays Aviator Silver MasterCard this year?

Barclays gave me 10,000 American Airlines points to keep my card open.

That's awesome. I called to cancel my AAdvantage from Citi and even asked if there was any retention offer that could be tossed my way...bupkis. PC'd that sucker into another Double Cash. However they did refund the annual fee on my Premier card once I whined about all the benefits getting cut...so that one lives on for another year.

Closed my Aviator Red a few months ago. Negligible spend, no offers for retention or to PC. Good for a nice bonus and a few free checked bags.

No elite status with Delta, but Delta + Schwab Platinum cards and a big MR-VS transfer are making me a bit of a DL loyalist.

Gosh I didn't think that was possible with co-branded CC, I may ask about this for my AAdvantage card.

Yes, Citi is one of the most flexible card issuers when it comes to product changes! I tried to change my Diamond Preferred to a Prestige a year or so ago (with my luck it was on the very day that they temporarily removed the card as an option due to its revamping a few months later), and while it wasn't an option that day there were literally close to 30 options for me to PC the card to. They tried to push me into AAdvantage Executive but I'm a Delta person so I left the card as it was (later did a PC to Rewards+ when that card was introduced).

Anyway, 10k miles isn't a bad retention offer. Congrats!
