CSP to CSR Upgrade Question

Hello!
I’m looking into doing a product change from my CSP to CSR. I’ve had the CSP for 2 years now, and the CL is at $5k. I called to product change after 1 year, and the rep told me that I can only upgrade to the CSR if the current CL on my CSP is at a minimum of $10k.

Any truth or experience in this? Should I call back and see what another rep says? I am doing some traveling soon and the higher CL will help with expenses. Thank you!

Minimum credit line on CSR is $10K, so CSR told you the truth.
You can ask for an increase (HP) or if you have another Chase card you dont use, moving available credit from one to another is an option

Adding on to this thread, is the date you can ask for a PC a year on the month you opened the card a year or the exact date?

ex: opened 1/10/19

pc available 1/1/20 or 1/10/20?

No clue, I asked after it was opened exactly a year (and a few days because I kept forgetting to ask)

It is one year to the day after opening. Chase, like almost all card issuers, strictly adheres to The CARD Act's rule on increasing annual fees in the first year that an account has been opened.

If you open on 1/10/19, PC available on 1/11/20

that's exactly the same problem i have. I want to upgrade to CSR, but my limit is 5K and my other CHASE cards are just another 2.5k. CHASE will not give me any CLI either lol...oh well..one day probably i will qualify for a CLI and get the upgrade. My CSP is 6 years old. If would have got the upgrade that would have been end of my AMEX platinum.

Could be one, or combination of any two CRA.
EX with another one seems to be the most common theme.
