Cap1 Platinum to Quicksilver PC

My Platinum card was always the black sheep in my wallet, being nothing more than a basic no-AF credit card with no frills. With other cards collecting rewards, it really never got any use, aside from the occasional small purchase I'd put on it to keep it active. As such, I've been denied a CLI every single time I've asked for one, with the primary reason always being "too little usage of your current credit limit". But I just couldn't ever justify putting big spend on that card and leaving points on the table.

Checked the PC link last night, which never showed anything before, and there was finally an offer there to upgrade to Quicksilver! Same exact terms as Platinum, but now with 1.5% cashback. Cap1 has earned back a spot in my wallet

Congratulations on the upgrade! I remember when I got PC'd to QS from my Platinum, it was exciting. I thought, "What a beautiful card!" Lol

may i ask how long it took to get there?

have the cap one plat secured myself and i'm about to hit the 4th statement in a couple weeks.

low cl so i just use it to pay for like a low monthly bills.

seeing when i can start requesting for cli or pc.

The account is 9 months old - but it was a regular Platinum, not the Secured version.

Where is the link to check on a PC on a the Cap One app or site ? I never knew one existed. I thought you had to call ? lol

Interestingly, it seems that you have to know about this link in order to request an upgrade online from cap1 like this. As far as I can tell, there is no way to find/navigate to the card upgrade page from their website. I've tried manyt times to find it on their website, and I always end up coming back to this forum to find it.

There is no link available anywhere on the Capital One site. As @MyLoFICO stated in the original post of that thread, the CSR he was speaking with told him he could click the link to check for an upgrade at any time, and he said he didn't see it. So the rep sent him the link which he then thankfully shared with the rest of us. That has helped so many people!
