Cap1 card upgrade gurus.... Help :)

So i have a Wal-Mart store card that was originally Sync, till the change over. I have a decent limit on the card (5k and scores current in siggy) and yet i have called to get the upgrade to the MC version with no success.

I got a "second" QS (not sure why - tho i'll keep it since it's not bucketed like my OG QS) less than 3 months ago. I checked the upgrade link to see if i had an offer to upgrade the Wally card to MC, but only found an offer for Venture one upgrade on my new QS (i understand this is good seeing as i haven't had it 6 months yet) but i have no need for Venture.

I know that no two profiles are alike, and i'm grateful for what i have, but honestly a little jealous of other approvals i've seen lately. MC approvals with much lower limits and scores, but still got the MC version.

Anyone know what i'm doing or not doing for that matter that my Wally card isn't eligible for MC yet?

I wonder if you can even upgrade cobrands or if Capital One has to specifically invite you to.

Go to Capital One website and log in and bring up the Walmart card then add /productupgrade to the end of the URL and see if it pops up anything.

Only thing that comes up is the Venture One for my newer QS. Looks like the same thing from the upgrade link i have

It's showing that when you're actually on the page for just your Walmart card, not the summary screen showing all your accounts?

Probably so, but i've spent so much time rebuilding that i forgot to learn patience

Hmm it does actually look like it's pulling upgrades for just my QS even when I'm on my SavorOne, never mind.

Yeah, when i opened the Wal-mart screen with balance and such, added the /productupgrade, it took me to the page to upgrade my QS to VOne

Could be. i'll give it some time and see what happens, if not i have other rewards card i can use anyways. Just figured it was a different challenge without apping.

I had the same problem. they kept giving me cli for the store card then someone told me to apply on the Walmart site again and bingo approved for the MC so now I have both.

@Anonymous you can have mine lol. Mine is at $1700 and it will never see an increase lol. I might just cancel both my Wally cards. Last year i could ship online here and after $35 free shipping plus taxes now it seems they are cray cray shipping anyway with ridiculous rates. Yeah, Walmart😡

I am probably going to close mine, as I don't use it and it will never grow. Kind of like dragging an Anchor around.

When it was SYNCH, it was invite only to upgrade. So it's likely that same with Cap1. If you want one sooner, just app for it then close the old card. While they no longer reallocate CL's, you might be in a new bucket that wnaht the regular Walmart card has you in.

I'm sure Cap1 still buckets people according to the profile of the transferred account, if that's even a thing?

That's the boat i'm in, i would actually lose some padding since i have a good limit on mine. I just wanted to have less store cards and since those have a MC variant, i was hoping to just upgrade. I have 0 interest in going after Wally MC as a new card.

I'm not sure how bucketed it was, as i got it up to a pretty high limit in less than a year. I know that "bucketed" all to well with my OG QS card, so if that is the case then i'll just hang on to it until i get better limits on the cards i plan to use the most going forward and then let it go. In reality, what will happen is that i won't use it till they close it for non-use lol

Lol @Anonymous i wish i HAD the Superman card for real. Thats just my mind projecting it lol. I have a 15k Wally and 1700 Wally MC, I'd donate them to ya if i could
