Which 3rd Amex should i Apply for?

Hello everyone!

I am an international student (so i don't have a SSN neither an ITIN) and I currently own 1 BOFA Cash rewards (1000$ limit), 1 Amex Cash Magnet (from 1000 to 3000$ last month) and an Amex Blue Cash Everyday (applied a few weeks ago, 3600$ limit). My Fico Score is 715 on the Amex app.

I'm wondering for which next Amex card should I apply for (since I can only get credit cards from them) and when should I do it since I am most likely leaving the US in May :'(

I use my amex cards a lot (I'm almost reaching my limits every month), and I use the Plan it feature a lot as well since I do a bit of buying and reselling.

I'm hesitating between the BCE preferred but I don't like the 95$/year (even though the promo is good) and I have no knowledge at all about the other type of cards (I don't travel a lot and I don't do hotels). Also I am wondering if I should apply for either the green or gold card because of its 0% commission on FX as I will be back in France soon.

I am pretty sure there are other cards without foreign transaction fees. Beyond that, it will all depend on what you actually do spend on.

After you return to France, are you going to be moving to the US again to live? Or no?

If not, then I think these US-based cards will eventually run into problems to keep them open.

AMEX also has a global re-application method, where relocated persons can apply for an AMEX in their new residence country. That can have certain advantages in the country, and some offerings may be slightly different.

Maybe a Delta card?

Delta miles never expire.

Delta is an Air France codeshare partner.

You can get Delta Blue as a no-AF, no-FTF card, or get an AF Delta card with a bigger bonus and downgrade after the first year. Or keep an AF Delta card for perks.

*Getting an Amex card when in France may be more practical if it will be a permanent move.

What kind of problems do you mean NRB525? I wish I could stay but finding a job with an OPT is quite hard here. But I will still be spending a lot in the US (online orders) even from the outside.

I didn't mention but I was able to get US Amex cards (global program) because I am initially a french Amex owner (Air France gold KLM).

I'm hesitating between the BCE preferred and the basic delta.

Also do you know when would be the best time for me to apply again? since i got my last card few weeks ago and requested my last CLI 2 months ago?

Mostly because you won't have a US address.

Two cards in two months plus a CLI is quite a lot. Your situation with the KLM / Air France card gives you a running start. But then, if you have that card, why look for more cards from US AMEX?

You may end up in another country and decide to get an AMEX in that country. Why poke the bear in the US?

The advice of a Delta AMEX is a good idea, if you really want to go for another card.

because i love us amex cards they have a lot of features that european amex dont have, also most of my purchases are in USD that's why i need us credit cards

The only no AF and no FTF card left from Amex that I think you might consider is the Delta blue card. Also, (anyone correct me if I am wrong) there is a chance AMEX won't offer benefits like Plan It in a particular card account.
